Why would anyone pick the Red Door at Bogy?
The enemies behind that door hit way harder and have harder overall attack patterns than the Gold door.

The Crystal things can hit you with little warning or time to avoid them.

Scarlet's bullets fly fast and far and shoot right at you whenever you hit them.

The snails can do THREE damage and shoot everywhere.

On top of all this there's no real bonus for going there.

For the love of the bird gods, always use the Gold door unless you're OP or hate yourself

After I got the achievement for killing all enemies at least once, I only pick the gold door, too.

Really? I prefer the red door all the time. The gold door's shark is annoying as hell, not to mention the grenade launcher dudes. I always go for the red door; I'm just doing golden door to finish the all enemies killed achievement.

Totally agree. The enemies in the red room are the most serious in the whole game, the rooms are small, the speed and firing range of the enemies is monstrous and they take you everywhere with their 2-3 damage. For me, the red room is even more difficult than the next level, and it is on the same level with the final room.

It's interesting how different opinions can be (in this case idk why I'm the one strange) XD
I legit think yellow door's harder, I hate having to move around and getting paranoid over when the land shark's gonna bite. In the red door at least, the only one that forces you to move are doing so from long range, so I can snipe from afar, and attack scarlet/the rock creeps at my own convenience. Different play style, methinks.

I can't defeat the boss in the red room, he is totally terrible with his bullets or what it is. i think that Chain with +30% damage and with teddy bear will defeat him, but... maybe smone can help with advice?

While I agree that sniping is a good solution for the red path, I think it's also the only one. As soon as you have to get close it becomes a disaster.

Also, I don't know if I buy that the red route is even subjectively easier than the gold one. Every obstacle in the red path is functionally a harder version of the gold path:
  • The sharks are predictable, slow, and can be walked across before they surface. The hermit crabs are fast, erratic, and always tangible.

  • The tentacle monsters fire a grenade at you when you near too close. The crystal-heads damage you instantly.

  • Snipers and cacti are both very slow and heavily telegraphed, while only covering a single straight line, all three mollusks on the other hand shoot fast projectiles constantly.

  • The golden path's "trap" is slowing tar, while the red path's "trap" is toxic fumes.

I've never had any trouble with him. :conwayshrug:
The game just wants you to run circles around him, really.

I think, most of the problem for me, is the boss of the yellow door.
I just friggin hate how he's only vulnerable when he's lunging at you. The red boss is totes easier. Also, yeah, I agree with your points above. I usually snipe from afar, and though I can go close, I prefer to keep a distance :D

Oh yeah, the red boss is much less annoying.
