[bug] can't launch in Steam offline mode or without internet

The game throws an error message saying "You must be logged into Steam to enter Flatspace. Please log in to Steam and then launch Flatspace IIk again".

Why it is important:
In my country the internet service as well as electrical power are unstable and inconsistant.
Some (most) of rural areas (and even some cities with tens of thousands population; in some districts) have no or close to no internet or telephone communications.

What I suggest:
Use Steam's authentication tools to check if the user is logged in. These may work in offline mode if the user has successfully logged in at a previous point having working internet connection.

(if I were to spend a day, a weekend or more without internet it would have been a better time with Flatspace ❤️)

Is there a technical workaround for now? Of any complexity. Whether to copy a temporary file from somewhere or to take snapshot of memory or setting up a virtual PC and so on. I happen to be offline far to often lately.
