How do I unlock the characters?

I played a bunch of matches but nothing popped up. I didn't get any challenger approaches pop up. Please help.

Hi! If you are playing vs AI, make sure there are at least 4 players in the game (including you) and the AI is in hard mode. The characters probably won't be unlocked in one day, so keep playing! ^^

Can this boss only be accessed through bots? I do not like battling bots so this is why I ask.

You can play with a minimum of 4 friends and you'll unlock the characters too.

I don't want to because I have one controller and It may be hard

Hey Spederson, you'll improve yourself a lot playing versus the bots in Hard difficulty, you just have to play with 3 more for some games to be able to enter the fight, and then defeat the big one.

Instructions unlear. Is it a smash bros rules thing where you have to be challenged and beat them and if so is it random chance to get the challenge and what are the parameters for getting the challenge? Do i have to win or just play. I'm trying to unlock them on the switch forr a hangout with my friends tomarrow so if it's all random I don't appreciate that very much no sir.

Hi NoBop2000. There's no random on any character unlock. As you say, it is Smash bros-like and you have to win the challenge. The instructions to unlock all the characters are repeated again and again around all the forum. Hope you unlock them all and you enjoy the game with your friends!

literally impossible, i get instantly stunned by bots and it takes me 23 punches an headbutts to kill ONE CPU can someone help, i cant kill a minimum of 3 CPUs without being stunned in one hit by a cpu who has full hp and instantly being thrown off each match. btw the gummy im using is egg gummy if thats a problem. PLEASE HELP.

You will need to get good i'm afraid... Its not easy but not impossible , just takes a few weeks to really master the fighting physics..
