how do i rotate or turn without doing it in real life?

steam vr you just push left or right on the vive pad and it will rotate you about 45 degrees at a time. this game only teleports you and only in the direction your pointing while keeping your original orientation. I have a 4 by 3 foot space at best to move in so i always have my feet backed up against my bed.

if i cant rotate then i cant reach ♥♥♥♥ thats behind me (my bed is the direction the locomotive controls are on the first level so im effectively un able to do much and it would be an awful game if i cant even play it without leaving and rejoining while pointing another direction to reset it. am i just dumb or am i missing somthing simple here?
