Sonic mania full screen error

When I boot up sonic mania and go to options and click full screen mode and apply. It then would do some weird glitch and then i have to shut down to close it because it wont let me access task manager or anything else. If anyone can help please respond, I am a big sonic fan and had recently re bought some of the old games for steam. Any help would be appreciated. :D

Open settings.ini with notepad
If you want fullscreen:
windowed=n
border=n
exclusiveFS=y

If you use GSynce/FreeSynce:
windowed=n
border=y
exclusiveFS=y

To run in borderless windowed:
windowed=y
border=y
exclusiveFS=n

That half fixed the problem. I get fullscreen, but tabbing out and back in will mess it up again and become unresponsive.

I turned off vsync and it worked fine. I didn't need to go into the cfg either.

Yup same problem all the old sonic's i can play in full screen no problem at all this one i go into full screen and it just crashes where i have to reboot cause the black screen blocks all screens behind it. Another game that the devs are to lazy to fix and force the users to fix it themselves. Chris whitehead does not know how to code at all.

As I said, try out the steps I mentioned above. And please don't hurt anyone's work. It's hard to code you know?

Lol. It's been out for 4 years it shouldn't have this problem. So yea i'm going to put the coding down when it's the coding that is the problem. I shouldn't have to fix a devs coding problems by messing with the cfg. I never had to mess with any cfg's or ini's in any other sonic game at all. It's when i change from the default resolution to anything else the game crashes at a black screen. In the past hour i restarted my pc cause of this over 20 times. Which puts alot of wear and tear on the pc. And no it's not my pc as it is a beast and should play this flawlessly.

Just cause you don't have any problems don't mean others don't. Also this is the only game out of my 1437 games that i have a problem with, all my other games work perfectly.

Also i already did that and it only crashes when i change it from default to my resolution of my monitor hack even did it on 1920x1080x144hz.

If you read the ini it only has crap for window size not fs size. I will never play a game in window mode that is only for people with very low specs.

That is for window mode not full screen mode. Allso why is it set at a very odd resolution for. That is 1999 resolution.

NO. THAT IS FOR VERY LOW END PCS THAT CAN'T HANDLE A GAME AT FULL SCREEN.

When every game including all my other sonics are in full screen. I know your a fan of sonic as your name and icon prove it. But just admit it's bad coding. I code i know bad coding when i see it.
