Umm, so I heard that the suicide feature from Sonic CD was originally in Mania but was weeded out and that it's possible to restore this feature by altering some numbers here and there (similar to how you obtain the dev menu). How do I do this? Just in case I'm being unclear, it's the thing where Sonic yells "I'm out of here" and jumps off the stage after 3 minutes of inactivity- resulting in an instant Game Over regardless of lives and continues. Like, not only was this feature hilarious, it's a lot better than losing dozens of lives to Time Overs due to accidentally leaving the game running haha (yes ik you can turn it off but where's the fun in that?).

The closest you'll get in the final game is in the Mania Plus DLC where each menu option has its own animation corresponding to the option you highlight, and highlighting the Quit Game option uses that animation from Sonic CD for its splash screen.

Sonic Mania had some inspiration for Sonic CD as well (being unnoficially "Sonic 1.5").
