What I hate about Sonic Mania (so far)
1. Drop Dash: This move, like the Super Peel-Out, is very unneeded since we have the Spindash, the Insta-Shield was so much better.
2. Studiopolis: Very unrealistic level & Casino Night rip-off IMO, the only thing good about it is the music, but it's unfitting for the stage.
3. Sprites are too smooth: It would take a long time to get Sonic's smooth sprites compiled for Flash (Like always, but I'll manage).
4. False advertising for Green Hill act 2: Seriously, it has Act 3's layout in it when they said it didn't, what a lie.
5. Replaces Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Honestly, it might top off S3K as the best & biggest 2D sonic game ever in the classic series, & SEGA won't let Taxman & Headcannon do the mobile port of S3K to make the trilogy complete (Possibly due to Hyper Sonic & the Level Design), sometimes, when I go on a trip, I take out my phone, & play Sonic 1 or 2, I would do the same thing for S3K's mobile remaster, IF THEY MADE ONE.

That's all right now.

EDIT: Forget everything I just said, except number 5, also, I'll manage with mania's sprites.

1. The drop dash is actually great as it allows you to keep going fast while platforming.

2. This is a video game about a BLUE hedgehog that destroys robots and fights against an egg-shaped scientist, of course it's not realistic!

3. Good sprites = bad? What?

4. Ok that one is just nitpicking.

5. If I'm correct the reason there isn't a mobile S3&K or even just a remaster is because of something about the music, not technically SEGA saying no but trying to avoid getting rid of the themes we love in said remaster.

Both of these points are just asinine at their core.

The peel-out was better than the spindash on account of it being faster than even a fully charged spindash, and that you can hold down after it to just have a faster roll. If anything, the spindash was worse by comparision, and has been in every mod of the classic games that has both.

Insta-shield is a heavy preference; it was okay in speedrunning if you could have the split-second precision for it's invincibility frame to jump through enemy attacks, but it was otherwise useless to anyone playing the game casually, especially with shields overwriting it. With the drop dash adding to your speed and saving time from coming to a stop for a spindash, it's better for both casual and speedrun play in terms of mobility and keeping pace, even with shields still having priority over it.

You don't have to use Mania's sprites for whatever sprite animation you or anyone else want to do, and you can cut out the new frames that are added alongside the remastered frames of the original sprites if you're that petty about it.

That's no excuse. Have you guys heard of Leila Wilson? She has an "alternate" album project. Seriously, listen to her "Icecap act 1" track: https://soundcloud.com/leila-wilson-woofle/alternate-ice-cap-zone-act-1?in=leila-wilson-woofle/sets/sonic-3-alternate

Doesn't it look like it was something specially coined to fit Sonic 3 & Knuckles? I even like this better than the original Icecap track.

The remasters don't change the music, that would take away some of the nostalgia.

It's better than not releasing it at all.

I'm sure one day they'll get this music business sorted out.

I hate the Peel-Out because it gives Sonic a chance to get hurt, I hate the Drop Dash because it's a rip-off of the Spindash.

The peel out lets you get hurt to make it a more skill based ability. The drop dash is like a mini spin dash to keep your momentum going.

I doubt it.

It's my opinion.
EggInk Jul 1, 2017 @ 6:15pm
I'll respect your opinion alot more without a FNAF picture as your steam PFP.
the game isn't even out yet. and you're complaining about ripping sprites to make poorly edited sprite animations.
:^)

This has to be a troll topic.
I mean, I can understand his first point... but the rest is absolute nonsense. xD

I guess I get you, but you're not forced to do the Drop Dash. Also the Super Peel-Out for Sonic CD was actually a better move than the spindash, since in that game the spindash took too much to charge up while the Super Peel-Out was almost instantaneous and it's beter to do the Super Peel-Out and then curl into a ball because the Spindash was way to slow at least in the original versions.
But yeah, wish they would bring back the Insta-shield but it's not anything to be mad about it.

Wait, what?

Is this a joke?

What the hell are you even on about?

What the hell does that have to do with the game itself?

Is this supposed to be bait? Or are you supposed to satirise people who complain and make the dumb posts?

I should've added that the peel out can actually destroy enemies, but there's only 2 times in the entire game where that's easy to accomplish. What you have to do is use it on a cliff and (hopefully) land on an enemy, you will destroy it and bounce upward (it's actually pretty good for speedruns as you launch very high up and keep your momentum).
