Game crashes when I switch to fullscreen.
Admittedly I haven't played this in AWHILE, but I know I didn't play in a window for 2 hours.
Now today I started the game up, and everytime I try to switch to Fullscreen it crashes.
None of my hardware has changed, but I have done a fresh Win 10 install since I last played.
Anyone got any ideas?
(and no, I do not have the DLC)

update: So launching it outside of BPM and setting it to fullscreen worked fine, and now that I've done that it doesn't crash when I set it to fullscreen in or out of BPM, but now I have to set it to fullscreen everytime as if it's not saving my settings.

I suggest you try deleting settings.ini file in Mania folder, and then verify game integrity file.

I did that and now it's back to crashing when I switch to fullscreen, but this time even when I'm not in Big Picture mode. Somehow this broke it even more than it was originally...

The only work around I've found is that you set windowed to yes in settings.ini and set your windowed resolution to your screen's resolution and it'll trick it to fullscreen.

I haven't had any fullscreen crashes this way.

Okay so I just did a bunch of testing, here's the deal:
For starters, that's not "tricking it into fullscreen" that's running in borderless windowed mode.

Also, setting windowed to y or n has absolutely no effect on how it launches BUT if Windowed is set to no, it will crash when you try to enable fullscreen.

Also for some weird reason the exclusiveFS (or exclusive fullscreen) option seems to do absolutely nothing no matter what you set it to.

And the final test was kind of an accident, I was testing to confirm that 'n' is definitely the "no" command (as opposed to 0) so i set vsync=n and launched. It launched in the 1600x900 borderless window (1600x900 is my desktop res) just like in my previous test. I wnet into the options and vsync was indeed off. so all i did was re-enable vsyc and it scrapped my resolution settings and switched to the 2x window again the moment i hit Apply.

Also I at one point I set the ini file to read-only, just to see what the game would do if it couldn't even try to save the settings, and it didn't even seem to care. I hit apply after toggling vsync again and it continued as if it saved, but when relaunched, it sure did not.

SO it seems like there's some kind of error reading and writing the fullscreen option, and I have no idea why it chaged the borderless window res when I changed vsync.

I tried switching the values in the .ini to my native resolution and turned off force FS.
it didnt immidiately crash and I got into a level, but it crashed soon after.

idk why or how the game is crashing so bad now, before now i never had any troubles with it...
