Game will not load to save data screen

( NOTE:the stuff that i am about to say what's been happening with this game has never happened to me before so hear me out)

after 7 hours of school i usually come home do my homework and then mostly play a little bit of sonic mania but today was different... i selected my character in the "mania mode screen" and when i was in green hill zone the game froze for a couple of seconds next thing i know the game crashes sending me back to the steam library this kept happening a few times until i looked at some guides. i uninstalled the game and restored my data and everything was fine
BUT here is where the question is

NOW as soon as i launch the game i can only get to the title screen and after pressing any button i'm stuck with a spindash loading screen without it saying "this game has an autosave feature" and the ok button so im sorry for the long story lol but anyways if anyone has had this problem and know how to fix it just let me know and i will reply as soon as possible Thanks!
