You know, I kinda have given up earlier to reply to this discussion because I didn't want to be very negative, but I agree with you. It is unfortunate, but the fact that the people who programmed Sonic Mania are SHOCKINGLY not working at SEGA makes me wonder if a sequel will be possible at this point. Not only that, but apparently SEGA prefers to deal with people at Sonic Team who has no idea of what makes Sonic good rather than hire the people that actually delivered one of the best rated Sonic game in years.
Regadless, I really hope Christian Whitehead's studio, Evening Star, delivers a phenomenal game. I wish the same for Stealth, it makes me mad to see great programmers like them struggling to find a place in the game industry.
