IGN gave Sonic Mania Plus 7/10 Review Score....

This is absolutely pure BS! I don't understand why IGN gave Mania Plus 7/10. This makes no sense whatsoever! Mania Plus should've received 9/10 instead. Perhaps, IGN would've responded in this quote: "Sonic was never good!"

I think the main issue the reviewer addressed here was that the stages are pretty much the same and aside from mighty&ray and some other cool feats mania plus doesn't add anything else.

It's kind of irritating because IGN reviewed the original Sonic Mania with an 8.7/10 and while the DLC is reviewed separately, it appears as the main score of the game. Honestly while I haven't played it, I think a 7/10 is fitting for what Mania Plus added simply because it's not much. That said I think the way IGN reviewed it is confusing because if someone assumes that their mania plus review also takes into account the base game, then it just makes Mania Plus look like it's so bad that it worsened the game overall, which is just wrong.

As far as I've seen, unless the game is some AAA FPS game like CoD, or an RPG like Skyrim, IGN generally gives it a bad review.

Holy cow people, 7/10 is still a good score. The reviewer even edited the review to clarify that it was only about the DLC, not the game as a whole.

7/10 is actually pretty fair but people will still complain about it since they complain all the time...
