How many continues can you get in total?

I was aiming to get 99 on each slot with every character, but i cant get more than 20. Is that the max you can get or is my game bugged?

It does seem like 20 is the max, I've hit it on two seperate save files. Although I haven't tried farming for more since I hit that number lol

I don't see where they have more than 20. I see 64 lives and 9 continues

I only have 9, the number to the left is lives.

Usually they cap it out by the number of digits allowed. Since it showcases two digits I took the guess that it caps out at 99.

Ohh... My bad, I got confused here, sorry. Yeah, 20 continues seems to be legitimate, then...

I got 20 in the encore mode save file, and 20 with Sonic, Sonic&Tails and Mighty in Mania Mode. It seems 20 is the top. But its weird that you cant get 99 lifes and 99 continues like in S3&K.

I'm playing on Switch, and my first save file capped out at 25 and my second at 21, so I think it might be bugged. Especially since my second file capped at 20 for a while, but after getting one out of a special stage, it rose to 21.

Yes, that seems to be the maximum. They should have set the limit at 99 like in S3&K. I like to play farming lifes and continues on every slot with all the characters.

I think they fixed it, i'm at 23 and I know the cap for double-digit numerical values in this game is 99 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1855461255

I could only get to 20 continues so that's probably the max.
