Game won't launch after modding

So I made a joke mod for the game to showcase on YouTube, but after it was finished, the game wouldn't launch and still won't now. Every now and then afterwards I see the blue-spinny thing next to my cursor appear like it's still trying to load but no window ever pops up. Help?

Did you try removing all mod components (like the custom d3d9.dll) and re-validating your game cache?

The game launches now but my mods are gone.

I also just tried repacking Data.rsdk with my modded Data folder and still no joy (I was in Data Folder mode at first).

Have you tried using Mania Mod Loader instead to create the mod?

I've made progress. I've redone half of my mod, and the game launches, but now it's become very unstable and crashes all the time. Sometimes on startup, sometimes in-game. You never know.

Nevermind. I can't even get past the title screen. It just crashes.

Just ruling out Denuvo because someone did have a key corruption error recently (they might still be on 1.03.0831 for the older modloader though).
