From what I've read Cartoon Network hasn't officially said whether the show is canceled or renewed so there is a chance there will be a season 3. They probably won't start a new tv show until sonic boom ends so I'd say, depending on if the show is renewed, you'll be waiting a while maybe years for a new tv show. It all depends on if its renewed and how many seasons it will have.

Boy, you're asking this WAY too early. 10 more episodes of Sonic Boom means 10 more weeks, roughly 2 and a half months. Even if there's no confirmation of a 3rd season, Sonic Boom will continue to air reruns, especially since most of the HD episodes of season 2 have to yet to make its way on to Cartoon Network in order to complete its course. After that, its all up in the air. I doubt we'll even get a brand new TV show altogether for a good long while considering what kind of disaster came about with Sonic Boom during its inception.

A good idea will be to make a show based on Archie comics now that they f inaly over after so much time(they ended on January). The first 50 issues were based on 1993-1994 tv shows(adventures of sonic the hedgehog and sonic the hedghegog) but after isue 50 it become it own series and it ended on issue 290 so this is enoguh material for a 100+ new episodes series. The next comics series will begin in 2018 by IDW and when the first Archie issues released it was during the 1993+1994 tv shows so it makes sense to start both the IDW comics and next tv show at same time in 2018. As i said if someone has some official infto from inside sega then tell us.

This is assuming they want to proceed with a new TV show. I seriously doubt they're going to start another so soon given they still have to wrap up everything about Sonic Boom. Even if we did get a new TV show, it's not going to be an adaption of the Archie comic series. Part of the reason SEGA disbanded with Archie was because they wanted to discontinue the Satam/Freedom Fighter saga since it's gone on with its own continuity and bares very little resemblance to the games other than just using a bunch of familiar faces and personality. SEGA's has long since wanted to keep a single continuity in control across various media to ensure that Sonic remains faithful under their own eyes. They've attempted it with Sonic X and Sonic Boom, and have not been too successful for various reasons. There's been no word on how IDW is going to adapt the Sonic series, but I can tell right now, it's not going to be based off the Freedom fighters storyline. Good riddance to that.

Freedom fighter was sonic and his friends fighting robotnik and eggman on mobius. Sonix x and sonic boom is again about sonic and his friends figting eggman but on earth instead of mobius. Just like in games.

Also it is possible we will see Freedom fighters story in IDW since it realy ended on issue 50 many years ago when Sonic killed Robotnik. Aftert hat sonic started fighting other vilians until Eggman another alien with human form, came to mobius from another planet to conquer it. And it continued like thsis(sonic tails knukles fighting eggman) until issue 290#. Now that a new series is starting thanks to IDW it is possible that there might be another Robotnik and a Eggman again. We will see. But of course the freedom fighter stories will be completely different than those in Archie series.

Now now, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Just because that's the last ep on the episode guide on wikipedia doesn't neccesarily mean we're done with Sonic Boom just yet. Hell for all we know Season 2's still going and they just decided to take a mid-season break.

Besides, I doubt SEGA wants to let go of Boom just yet, considering how good the cartoon's faring. (Even if it did get sent to Boomerang for Season 2, which hurts it a bit considering that's not a basic channel)

...though if they ARE planning on doing a new Sonic cartoon after Boom's over and done with....well I wouldn't mind having a new show in the same artstyle as the animated cutscenes in Mania. Hell, with the way it looks, it'd be a perfect show for something like Disney XD or something.

While I am a fan of Sonic SatAM, the direction Archie went with it wasn't the best. And Sonic X was successful, just not in Japan.

Later on the canon becomes a cluster:Eggman::Eggman::Eggman::Eggman:, mainly due to Penders.

What do you mean? It is sonic tails and the other aliens(mobians) fighting Eggman. That what they are doing like they do in the games and the tv series. There was also some issues that were based on Sonic Adventure that was released in 1999 for Dreamcast and later for PC. I was 11 years old kid then and i bouhht a Dreamcast just for that game! How could imagine that many years later they would remake it for pc.....

Basically, Penders forced them to Retconn the entire story.

Let wait and see how the IDW series will be that it starts on April 4. Since my series (TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES IDW) has some big changes compared to the past let see what they will do with Sonic. What if instead of an alien who lives in mobius like in the games and Archie series in IDW he is just a mutated human? Or What if Eggman has super magical powers?! Let see what will happen! What difference do you expect to see?
