How to get Hyper Sonic:

Get debug mode, and start searching the stage you're in for a purple ring. I think every stage gets one, and that it's random spawn possibly. I've found the purple ring once in GHZ Act 1, but when I went back to try and find it again, it had disappeared. Possibly random spawn, or one-time usage.

Assuming you don't lose your rings, Hyper Sonic WILL be unlocked if you attempt to turn into Super Sonic. (Running out of rings will result in loss of the purple ring, as will running out of them in Super Form.) It's a very clever easter egg, but EXTREMELY brutal to find. Sadly due to my enter key not working at the time I wasn't able to pause, so I only had time to take one photo and still try out Hyper Sonic.
