McAfee thinks this game is a virus

McAfee thinks this game is a virus when I try to add it as an exception it tells me I don't have permissions to the file. How can I play this game?

I think McAfee is a virus.

In some seriousness, you'd be better off with nearly ANY other AV program (that actually is an AV program, anyway).

Are you local admin to your PC? If so you should be able to add it as an exception. If not you need to fetch your ~ahem~ Sysadmin.

this MCAfee issue is serious... we all know the game is not a virus, but being detected as one by an AV program is a SERIOUS issue that should be Adressed Ligtning quick... no Legal game,program,anything, should be detected as VIRUS by anything... and if it is, YES, it is the program being a Bad Program... if it persists... well... ♥♥♥♥...

Mozilla recommends against 3rd party antivirus, probably because many of them have broken Firefox.

DRM is malware this is why McAfee thinks the game is a virus

You can also excise McAfee as so-empowered user. That's what I'd prolly do. Uninstall it and get maybe Avast (the free version).

You'll have less problems overall.

Oh that's an easy fix. Uninstall McAfee and get a real antivirus. The only thing worse is Norton.

Thanks guys I think I am going to uninstall mcafee lol. for now I disabled real time scanning to get the game to launch

I don't think it will solve the problem i think it's Denuvo because it's a malware

Well, after solving for McAfee, I'd wager you'd have to re-acquire the game files afterwards.

Get rid of McAfee use windows essentials antivirus and update the virus definitions.
If your too cheap for all that, tell macfee to let the game run and save the settings.

Thats because McAfee cant acess the file due to the amazing DRM shoved in this game only thing you can do is get rid of McAfee, wouldnt be the first time denuvo has messed with anti-virus
