HOW TO CONTROL TAILS??

Ok so I tried everything to control that two tailed fox.Tried using control version no.2,tried changing the controls.I know to make him jump but DON'T know how to move him.Do I need a second keyboard?

Jump and then hold up and press jump again while in the air. This will make him start flying. Have Sonic jump into Tails while he is flying and you will be able to control where he flies.

I managed to make him fly and jump onto him but still can't control him.And what if i want to play co op with a friend?They wanna play too,right?I mean fully controling him.

I don't know about co-op, I've never tried it. but are you pressing the jump button while latched onto Tails to make him fly more? This is really weird if you cant

yes i do...tried changing controler maps 3 and 4 in the settings document but...i don't know the pc name for the buttons.

You have to hold up and hit jump mid-air to make him fly, then jump into him so that Sonic grabs onto him. Then just repeatedly tap jump to gain height and use the stick/D-pad/movement keys to move left and right.

sigh... Go to "Options", "Controls", and select "2". From there, you can modify the keyboard controls for player 2.

but when i do THAT i ONLY can control SONIC WITH IT

I hope that Headcannon adds a dedicated button for getting Tails to pick up the player. Trying to get a ride with Tails is rather frustrating.

A 'Tails screen reset' button would be realllyyy great too, since he's likes to get stuck a lot and you have to wait for him to figure things out :C

Definitely. I think that tapping the "X" button should do the Tails grab, while holding it down for a couple seconds would respawn characters.

Being player two is a bad time, if Sonic 3&K is any indication.

Sonic + Tails gameplay in Mania works like Sonic 3 Complete, you jump and press up in mid air, then Tails will start flying and you have to jump at Tails for him to grab Sonic. Press the jump button again to make Tails go upwards or he will descend. Its a bit trickier in Mania, but with enough pratice you can master it, i play with a keyboard and works like a charm. I recommend you press Up right after Sonic jumps, don't let Sonic reach the top of his jump distance or you'll have to jump again, with thsi way Sonic will be grabed by Tails with the same jump.
