Report a translation problem
I never liked the Sphere game (too simple and plain) but it was part of Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I honestly would've prefered either the Pinball style Bonus stages from Sonic 1 (Master System) or the tube thing from Sonic 2 (Mega Drive) though that might have been a bit too close to the Sonic CD bonus stages that are also in use in Mania.
You can't please everybody i guess.
I played sonic one and two but not three. I am aware that "crushed by nothing" was in the original Chemical Plant zone but here like you said the hitbox is bigger.
As for the ball game with some tweaking it would be a bit more fun but as it is here I strongly dislike it. At least the UFO chase is fun.
