its actually pay to win, to play this game fully you will have to spend 200 euro

Lying like this should constitute a ban.
It's not a lie, but an estimation.

Wrong. You are making a statements as if they are facts, but they are based on no factual data whatsoever. You might need to look up the definition of estimation.

"its actually pay to win" - Statement as if it is a fact, when it is actually false. (lie)
"to play this game fully you will have to spend 200 euro" - Another statement pretending to be factual. (lie)

I find it astounding that people think Hearthstone is free to play, if you really want to be competitive. I have rarely seen a more expensive game. It is either expensive time wise... grinding for gold that is worth such a miniscule amount of money. Time is not free.

Either that, or you spend money to get cards that you have no guarantee in getting what you want.

I'll take the Artifact model ANY day. Trading cards, buying singles, sign me up! Much more like a real TCG than the CCG garbage model of Hearthstone.

I do not understand people who say that hs (or similar) is expensive, maybe they do not remember how much a TCG costs, for the cheapest bunch in a destination, in my country people spend € 200 or more (and € 200 is very very low for a deck).
Just because they cost so much the tournaments are done with only 1 deck, so:
go to the tournament with your € 300 paid deck and if you find yourself against the wrong deck you lose and go home.
in hs with 200€(if you want to spend them, because you can just wait 3 weak and gain more packs if you are a good player) you buy 200 packs that mean that you can get all cards you need for 2 or 3 decks (whit dust)
when you play in a competitive TCG you spend 200€ every week,
and do not tell me the lie: "you do not need all the cards"
who has played tcg for years knows that cards that are suddenly forgotten become indispensable, and if you want to get high you MUST have all the cards
gin.brusa 2018 年 11 月 16 日 上午 3:20
just another little notation:
--IN HS: today I make a tournament with my deck, tomorrow comes a new expansion and change the format? ok exchange all old cards with new cards
--IN TCG: today I should make a tournament with a € 300 paid deck, but tomorrow the format will change and my deck will cost € 0.20
I really think that the hs system is more expensive you do not find?
you probably forgot what it really means to play tcg and say that they are better than games like hs because you have already forgotten what you have earned
OR in your countries the cards cost much less than mine, in which case I WOULD AGREE WITH YOU :), but I think that in a game with international market you will not have the same luck

Exactly. First of all, HS is very very simple game, where best cards are "summon random this or that". It follows the "free to play" principle, which generates huge amount of people playing it, but in reality they are only used as a feeder for people that are paying for it. Every "serious" player spends at least $400 a year to be able to stay constantly competitive. Or, you can grind your arse off, spending at least 8 hours per day doing all that for free. The thing is time: can you earn more money in 8 hours of real life than equivalent of $3 which will cost you to buy that same thing?

That being sad, in my opinion, main target of Artifact are not those people, but people that play MTGA or MTGO. This is much more serious game, fighting in 3 lanes simultaneosly is so much difficult to do right, that you cannot have "cookie cutter" plays. You cannot say like in hs - you aim for that card to open, then you play this, and than comes card with random spawn, which determines wheter you lose or win depending of what RNG calculated. Yes, the player base wont be in ridiculous milions like hs, but I dont see difficulties to find opponent in mtgo or mtga. If you aim for serious play your wallet will still be lighter by aprox same amount (my estimation, we'll have to see how does steam market perform), but this game is way more serious. Most of the people who play hs wouldnt play Artifact even if its free, simply because its not that simple. Just look how long one match lasts. 20-30 mins, like in mtg, not like in hs where match lasts for 5 mins.

So, no card game is truly "free", it just comes down to your personal preferences. Do you like quick matches, simple rules, fun as hell game, where you should grind until the colors come off from your monitor? this is not that game. If you like to use your brain, hard, complex rules, very nicely done and looking games, and yes, pay for it the small - high amount of real money depending in which country you live in, that choose this over mtg. I know I had.

joggy in the tcg like this € 400 you spend them every month, or at least for the price they have cards in my country even more

I thought only recently that actually in my country the tcg cards cost a lot, if you compare it to the rest of the world and especially to America, in fact only recently I thought that maybe it could be an advantage, with a global market MAYBE , I emphasize, MAYBE, the cards could cost quite little (for example a deck could cost only 40-50 €) so from this point of view it could really be a much cheaper game

I must admit that I have not stopped to reflect on a point that emerges from the FAQ: Each pack contains at last one hero, two items, and AT LAST ONE card of the HIGHEST rarity
it mean that MAYBE the cost of single cards will be very cheap,in a global marcket ,and this COULD balance the costs of the game,
Even if this depends only on Valve, it is an interesting point of view :D
thank you, I do not think I would have thought of it alone :D
