Artifact Classic

Artifact Classic

Constructive Criticism: Your game that was developed in an echo chamber of rich streamers and pro players is boring to watch on twitch
Ok, so you barely had anyone watch your tournament session. Let's accept that. But people who stream Artifact on twitch find it BORING. Again, this is what happens when you develop a game not for gamers, but in an echo chamber listening to already rich streamers and "pro" players and leave the community out.

Example: https://i.imgur.com/7DJBW6j.jpg

Kripp, a popular Hearthstone player who gets over 11k viewers late at night struggled with 6k viewers with Artifact. So in order to GET viewers, he played Magic Arena AND Hearthstone ALL at the same time.

That's how boring your game is to stream and watch.

Again. This is what you deserve for ignoring your future customers. You could have had an open beta and people would have offered you suggestions, but nope. Echo chamber.

So the folks who paid 20 dollars get to be your "open beta". But that's fine, because like I said, your closed beta players are rare drafting to sell cards, i'm going to rare draft cards and sell them to make my money back and more before the game goes the way of Gwent... which is actually a fun game to watch, it stinks it failed. BUT at least it had an open beta.

I'm glad to be a part of your "open" 20 dollar beta team. Can't wait for the market sales <3.

Don't mix up "public" (no NDA) and "open" beta (free for all).

Also stay hydrated, this amount of salt might be toxic (see what I did there?)

How is that a problem for Valve? You know they take a 15% market cut, right?

So you paid for a game which will be F2P in a few months (Valve gets the money), pay for tickets to try your luck at keeper draft (Valve gets the money, you take the risk), then you rare-draft and you sell your cards on day one (Valve takes a 15% cut on every transaction). You cannot do anything about that, your money goes to Valve, that is it.

I think Thijs should be really happy about lots of his peers streaming Artifact. He can now literally grab all their HS viewers during EU prime time, while they keep struggling to recover theirs, lol.

Actually they changed artifact to have a 5% cut as well as a "cart" system for buying multiple cards at the same time so it's only 5% off the whole cart. So not nearly as scummy as some may think

So is it only 5% or is it 15%. Keep hearing 15% or $.01. Anyone able to link a reference?
