How do you know which worlds you finished?

You get an achievement for getting past it for the first time and you unlock the warp point for the next world. At the end of certain worlds you get a part of the friend instead.

For 100% completion of a world, there's filling the small dots (tumors), the secret mega tumors (Xs) and a hidden cartridge.
