Announcing VoiceAttack Version 2

Just a heads up that the store page for VoiceAttack version 1 (this store page) will be retired on Steam (tentatively) on Friday, March 14th 2025. In its place, the new store page for VoiceAttack version 2 will be launched. Links to the Community Hub for VoiceAttack version 1 will be provided to ensure continued access to discussions and reviews.

Please note that VoiceAttack version 1 will remain fully functional and available in your Steam client library. Although the store page for VoiceAttack version 1 will be closed, critical updates will still be delivered through your Steam client.

VoiceAttack version 1 will no longer be available for purchase on Steam. However, it will be accessible to owners of VoiceAttack version 2 via a separate installer that will be made available on the VoiceAttack.com website: https://voiceattack.com/downloads.

[1.16] Mic is regularly away on idle

Voiceattack seems to loose the mic (Logitec Stream mic) after some minutes of silence. Or i can see a frozen amplitude bar very low level volume in the volume indicator. here it helps me to switch in front panel of voice attack to settings. directly close settings. and the mic will work for a moment again. or if this might not work , i need to do the same above and click on change logitec communication device default "change now" . i change and the mic and will work again. the mic is only away in voi...

Voice Attack V2, needless expense.

The forum post has mentioned all of the ways that their hands are tied and that there is nothing that they can do to help the existing user-base that got them this far. It is not a new program, it is a version update and it is underhanded to try to fleece people twice over. Version 2.0?

So their website states that "Free maintenance updates for VoiceAttack 1.x for as long as you want them". Does this mean, should the program release 2.0, that the license will be rejected? Does that also mean, that if I buy it on Steam, the license will work for all future versions not just 1.x? Or will VoiceAttack 2.0 be released as a new program on Steam with a new license?...

What Am I Doing Wrong?

So I have setup a hotkey to enable and disable listening. This hotkey is set to my Joystick (Xbox One Controller) It is recognized as such by VoiceAttack as well, however the shortcut only activates if the window itself is active. If the window is in the background, the hotkeys are not recognized, but that defeats the purpose. I would like to use this hotkey with VoiceAttack in the background, how do I go about doing this? Or is this some sort of limitation or am I missing a setting? I took the time to r...
