sending commands to programs without taking focus
so i've seen i can send a command to a specific application, the downside is, it focus's my mouse on it.
my set up, im running elite dangerous, VoiceAttack, and OVRDrop, i am using OVRDrop to put my browser window into the game and i can interact with it, by alt tabbing to focus it, and then alt tab to focus ED back.
and i noticed and tested out of game that i can use VoiceAttack to send a spacebar command to OVRDrop which would bring the browser in and out of view. however it seems to focus my mouse onto it which would disrupt elite dangerous.

is there a way it can just send the command in the background? or is my best option, after the command to press spacebar is used, to do WIN KEY and the number elite dangerous is on to refocus?

Windows is designed so input is sent to the window/application that has focus; This is not a VoiceAttack-specific limitation.

You can use the "Perform a Window Function" to set focus to a given window manually (E.G. to switch to a one window after sending input to another).

cool thanks, i'll check that out.. i noticed when i used the command display window as [show] it brought it to the foreground, but didnt move my mouse.
im going to play around with this and see what kind of workarounds i can do.
thanks

VoiceAttack doesn't move your mouse cursor for this (and that isn't required to switch focus), however some applications (games, mainly) will.

You could try saving the mouse cursor position before switching (I.E. before the first keypress action), so you can then restore it after switching focus away from that application again.
