VoiceAttack

voice attack automatically changes profiles
voice attack automatically changes profiles even though the setting in the options that would allow this is disabled. And that sucks big time. Is there any way to disable this or is this a bug in the new version?

Did you check if you have the switch button to quickly switch from one to another accidently pressed?

Is VoiceAttack in focus or the target of your command (including VA being the 'Active Window') when this occurs? The reason I ask is because the auto-switching code did not change between the old version and the new version, and it's possible that the new user interface could be a little more sensitive than the old version if VA is in focus.

Also - make sure you don't have any commands that switch profiles. Most notably any commands which are also triggered by hotkeys/joystick buttons/mouse buttons. This has tripped me up before.

I have 2 profiles for Star Citizen. One is the normal one and the other is the space combat profile that is a clone of the first one with two additional commands that occupy my mouse buttons.

The problem occurs even when Star Citizen is not running. So when Voice Attack is running on my desktop and I just speak the commands into the microphone to see if I am recognized correctly. For example, I run the normal profile and when I say the command "Energy to shield" it switches to my space combat profile. They are the same profiles as before the last update, I just installed Voice Attack again.

They are the same commands as before the installation. And earlier it did not make this change. I don't know of any commands in my commands that do that either. I don't even know how to set it up.

I don't have the Steam version of Voice Attack but bought the software from the Voice Attack website.

Yes he does, he presses the right arrow key (cursor key). But he also switches to other keys, e.g. the energy on weapons, he presses the left arrow key.

Going by your picture, that command presses the right arrow key. If VoiceAttack is in focus and you press the right arrow key on your keyboard, the dropdown that contains your profiles responds to that input. Executing a command that presses the right arrow key will produce the same result, and is expected behavior.
There are several ways you could remedy this, with the easiest being to maybe not use that command to test if recognition is working - at least while VA is in focus (for instance, I have a command called, 'testing' which simply plays a beep sound). Also, there are multiple ways to test if VA or Star Citizen is in focus before issuing the key press - I can't go into them here due to time constraints, unfortunately. For that, you might want to post in the VA user forum https://voiceattack.com/forum or the VA Discord server: https://voiceattack.com/discord, or have a look over the VA documentation (which would probably be wise to look over first) - press F1 while VA is in focus to bring up the help documentation.

Ok thanks for the help. I will gladly try this out. Now I know what I have to pay attention to. In an emergency, I can set the keys in Star Citizen back to standard keys, then the power distribution is on F5 - F8 and then the problem should not arise. Or I add to each command the command that it only executes in Star Citizen window, then the focus should be correct again.
