Is there a way to purchase new TTS voices for Windows/VA?
My google-fu is too weak... I found stand-alone products which do TTS, but I don't think VoiceAttack could use the voice from it. My most promising find was an online TTS which allows you to type things into a text box, then speak it out loud, then they give you the ability to download the mp3 of it, but the download part costs a monthly fee. I don't want a monthly fee for a new voice, and I'm pretty sure storing all those MP3s would take up more HDD space than simply downloading a new voice.

So are there any ways to add new voices to VoiceAttack's TTS library?

Some of the IVONA partners are selling SAPI compliant voices with no additional software, and those will work on VA.

See, for example https://www.ivona.com/us/for-individuals/voices-for-accessibility/ (one of the "For individuals" links)

Thank you for the response! However, I have already browsed Ivona, and was no happier with their voices than the ones which came with with Windows 10. Plus, their prices were..... steep...

Currently, my best bet seems to be https://www.naturalreaders.com/online/ ... get a month of subscription for 10 bucks, download every phrase I want to have for any reason ever, then cancel my subscription...

But even that... their business model seems so skeezy, I dunno if I want to support them. Also, I'd only get MP3s, not a TTS voice...

Maybe I'm blowing this out of proprotion..?

Balabolka is a free program that can do this kind of thing. http://www.cross-plus-a.com/balabolka.htm . I used it last year to do a whole set of TTS entries for a racing pit crew in a racing sim. I don't remember if you could get additional voices for it, though.
