If you bought after that date you can still get free updates (including optional beta versions) from voiceattack.com and use the Discord for 24/7 tech support voiceattack.com/discord
What is at risk is the data of your current VoiceAttack installation, I.E. your profiles and settings.
The profile database should (but is not guaranteed to) remain in place unchanged, however anything beside that will need to be moved and/or reinstalled (E.G. if you have any HCS Voice Packs products, you'll likely need to reinstall those to update any file paths; That's something you'd want to contact them directly about).
Settings will by necessity be lost, so you'll want to have a good look at how you have the website version set up, so you can duplicate any deviation from the default settings in the Steam version.
As an aside, if you have the "Audio Output Type" option set to anything but "Integrated Components", I would recommend switching to that, as it is generally more stable than "Windows Media Components".
