Any tips on getting better accuracy
I dont have the steam version but I assume funtionality is the same.

I'm having some issues having voice attack understand me. I'm using English and am a native speaker. I went through the windows speech recognition set up (win 10) and did the training a few times. I have also triel a cli[ on mic, headset mic and webcam mic. I have the astra voice pack installed and was testing it without elite running. The problem is when it comes up with what I'm saying it is often complete gibberish. I've tested with a voice recorder that all the mics are coming through clear with no interfernce and Cortana can tell what I am saying much more reliably. Anyone have any ideas?

go through win 10 speech again or more if needed.

1. Switching microphones may be confusing it. When changing mic it's recommended to start a new voice recognition profile (found within Win Control Panel, not VA) and run through the two voice training modules again.
2. Check that your game sound is not leaking out of headphones into the mic by making a quick recording and listening back to it yourself (lower the game volume if that's happening).
3. My best trick for improving recognition is to look for what words are being misheard by VA and then add them as dictionary exclusions (you can do this in VA's settings). ie If "boost" was being misheard as "goose" I would add "*goose*" to the ignore list.

Thanks for the tips. I already have been using separate profiles. I use earbud earphones so theres definitely no leak. Very good tip about adding exclusions though, I do have a few words that get close but not quite right. It always thinks I am saying Axtra not Astra(The voice pack I have).

It has got somewhat better since I originally posted. I think I originally had the mics set somewhat too high , I've ran through the training a few more times and for the sake of using a voice pack rather than dictation I've increased the command weight to 90 and lowered the neccessary confidence. I'll obviously dial those in more as I play.

So 4. in the Windows VR settings add the word "astra" to the Dictionary, I forgot that. Then exclude the misheard versions for double-protection. Getting it all running smoothly is quite a bit of trial and error but once it's working it's magical.

Also there are some super-helpful super-users in VA's web forums if you want help to make custom commands.
