There are some high end group grind spots that are group orientated. There are 3 dungeons so far with a 4th one on the way. I think people enjoy them, but can't say how often that they actually get run. I have never done them myself as I tend to do mostly lifeskills.
The game doesn't have defined roles as do other games as most classes are DPS and there is only one classes that would be considered support and there are few slightly more tanky classes.
As for PvP, group based PvP is what is primarily offered, ranging from 3v3 equalised gear arena to 300v300 large scale "siege". However, the PvP is now a mere shadow of its once former glory as open-world group PvP is essentially dead.
Basically, Black Desert is a solo game with a small fill of group content. As a new player, you'll most likely be spending the majority of your play time grinding alone.
All of BDO, all "Group" content is everyone (minus 1) hitting the same thing or charging at the same thing, and then hitting it. There is exactly 1 class that spends it time doing ANYTHING for any other player present. There is no "Threat" table. There is no group heals, there is no "Supoort" classes. The holy trinity does not exist. It's everyone beating the guts out of the same thing at the same time.
If you get low on health, your problem, if the monster starts hitting you directly, your problem. You die, your problem.
In BDO "Group" play basically defines a bunch of people in the same spot.
Shai is the only class in the game with a skillset meant to help anyone else. Even then, it's mostly for PvP.
I have almost 15,000 hrs in the game. Played almost every single class to at least lvl 60. That is how it's always been. There is no "Buffs for everyone" or "Shields for everyone"
Games that do something like that are that way ---->
It is one reason I quit playing. I enjoy support roles. There aren't any in BDO. There might be a slight nod to it in some places, but it's not meant as a mechanic. So like I said. Group play don't exist.
Tried Oluns but makes non-sense, 3 people attacking golems that are tanky and much HP but mob hits everyone, dungeons are just werid and rewards are extremely bad, poor scripting without improvements from years. Atleast they added guild bossed even thou are booring at some point but you'll get 1b for 1h run. Game is capped to ~1b (+ - ) garmoth results aren't real for 80% of people.
So answer is no, there are no raids PVE here, you can do few dungeons 5 man or do few grind spots 2-3-5 man, if you are in search of raids / dungeons then WOW is the answer.
BDO is only good if u like this artstyle, action combat, and the char creation, the rest are mediocre (and I'm honestly sad to say this myself as I have a hard time finding a game to no-life)
when you are looking for a heavy group content mmo play wow,eso or ff,gw2
