But I'll tell you it's actually pretty easy to make friends in BDO just by talking to strangers.
Pick a server you like and make it your home for a while. Pick a city in that server and make that your home as well. Start watching for names you regularly see during the hours you play, and say hi to them. If you can, use their name when you say hi. (That's hard for me as I can't see their names, but you can do it.)
Often they won't see your hello, but when you do get an answer it often turns into a conversation, and if you like the conversation, send a friend request in-game to them afterward. Sometimes they'll send you one first.
When you get strong enough to start doing world bosses (or even beter if you make a level 61 boss alt who doesn't mind dying and doesn't have crystals to lose), start watching for people who regularly attend the same boss hunts as you, and say hi to them.
When you find people with anything in common with you, hunting the same stuff, lurking at the same towns, whatever, you'll find the number of friends you have in BDO grows easily and forever :)
