dumb questions and new player

So here is my questions. Ya with the sale of it being 100% for awhile, there will be a lot of new people looking into the game.

1. Is this game censored in any way? I did some looking up and the only thing I found was "oh the censored the shai" my reaction to this was "I am fine with that, they look like little kids. They are adorable and should not be lewded.

2. What would be good for a new player for the various roles? Like new to tanking/healing/DPS?

3. I have heard a lot about RNG stuff, and how the game wants to have you spend money rather then deal with the grind, So is it possible to play this game with out spending any money? And I do not mean on outfits or anything of that nature?

1. Shai is the only censored thing as far as I'm aware

2. So technically there isn't a class with a specific purpose. This game does not have much group PvE. Witch/Wizard can heal/ressurect and Shai can give buffs.

3. It is possible, it will just take a lot, lot longer. This game is a huge grind. Spending money speeds up the progress by a lot, but you don't have to.

I was poking around the character creator, and honestly Shai's were adorable. I wish that they were not censored in a "there was no need to censor them in the first place" sort of thing. You know, like they started out normal looking and not how they actually looked.
I also noticed when I was looking things up, about underwear and how one can remove it form none Shai characters? And I do not mean a nude mod, I mean in game? Is this true?

I don't know why they censored Shai because the NPC Shais doesn't have those, but I guess it's because it was expected people would maybe perv the character? I saw this a lot with the Tamer class so I wouldn't be surprised honestly.

My bad, read your post wrong.

And no, you can't fully remove those in-game on any character as far as I'm aware. You can just get way more lewd ones.
You can with a nude mod though, which if you use it and break your game, support will not help you in any way shape or form because mods aren't really allowed.

not really into nude mods. Mainly cause why would you want that in an action mmo?
I do not mind at times skimpy and maybe lewdish but that is in certain situations, like when your being silly.Where does one find those anyway?

Pearl Shop. You can only get new underwear from the pearl shop. Outfits you have a chance to get off the market if people a) decide to post it and b) there's not tons of preorders on it.

Imo Dark Knight isn't a tank. This game relies on playing what class you like personally. Try a few, level them to 56, and see which you like the most and make it your main.

I do not want to sound like an edge lord here, but I do like playing a class that is, well...
Like the death knight in warcraft, or the dark knight in ff14.
So other then the "dark knight" in this game, is there any others?

Look for Sorceress, Musa, Maewha, or you can try DK , but you will be disappointed probably because DK at this moment is considered the most nerfed class in the game, it takes a lot of gear and AP to perform as good as other classes with lower AP.
Sorceress is preatty good with all the i-frames and damage, but it takes a highter skill level than the others.
Don't forget the game is more gear based, skill is important , but not that much, if you want new player friendly classes Witch/Wizard and Archer

Try and play with every class you think seems interesting. The rest comes with time and enjoyment of your class. And yes, it's possible to play without cash. The only thing I would buy with cash would be the tent, do some research on what it does if you want, but it's real expensive. Have fun

There is no nudity in the game so technically every character/class is censored, it's a game for all ages after all.

My only theoretical complaint with the Shai situation is that the default shorts are visible with a lot of outfits.

I think if the shorts had been better incorporated into the pearl shop outfits and not obviously an afterthought, and they were possible to recolour, people would grumble less about it.

That being said there are fantastic craftable outfits for Shai ingame that are nicer than the pearl shop ones, like Kannas which has proper pants. So I never see the shorts :)

You didn't ask for this information and its off topic, but if you leave the game for 720Hours (30days) you log back in and you get "returning adventurer" benefits. This includes a Value pack.

With the value pack comes "merv's palette". It's a complete set of all the dyes ingame you can use to colorize your experience and bring your fashion game to new heights. (default key J to bring it up) Different dyes come with different levels of material/reflections.

What i want to express is, that you can look lit without using money. Lemoria Gear set always looks nice, Grunil does great a lot of times too. If you want to upgrade your fashion game, invest into these.

And in terms of classes, every class is build to be more or less self sustainable. Some kick harder or can take more by default, but there is not a big difference in terms of PvE i feel.

Life skill related class (Gathering&Alchemy) is Shai. It's a born professional at these two.
I am not aware of any other class that comes with higher life skills.

For the rest of the game, i feel like you should just go adventure and experience yourself. I find that to be the best. Heck just climbing mountains and enjoying the view with CTRL+U is amazing. It's not about the grind for me anyway Have fun and take it easy

So silly question.
What would the tank classes be? The reason I ask tends to be cause I tend to favor classes that can be in that role. I mean pretty ok at the healing class, and pretty meh at DPS.
And I been looking at things so far, and the guardian looks very pretty.
