Real issues with scaling and UI
So I first launched BDO and had issues with scaling and such in the main menu. I finally fixed that. But the text was still blurry, so I finally fixed that.

But now when I finally move onto character creation it looks like this:

What gives? This is ridiculously small. And it's painful to look at when making a character. Also, the game doesn't seem to save the settings I choose. Despite being set and saved to fullscreen, when I launch it again it always opens in some tiny window off to the side and I have to fiddle with the resolution and such again.

I have never had so many problems with scaling in a game before now, and I'm worried for when I do actually manage to get into the game as I fear the UI again will be super frigging small and I've read you need to be at least level 20 to edit it.

Any help or solutions?

You're not wrong. I play in 4k resolution though fortunately have a 50" monitor two feet from my eyes, and even with such a large monitor many of the fonts are so small they're effectively invisible. Worse, there are some skill tool tips with fonts in a tiny red which are even worse than the tiny white because they're not only small but have no contrast with their backgrounds.

Still, the game is playable. I suggest you just go with it knowing there's much you'll never be able to read :)

I've ended up reducing my resolution to 1920x1080.

Which is a shame as I can run the game fine at my native save for the silly UI issues. At least at a lower resolution I can read everything properly and the game still looks great. Now all I need to do is decide on a class lol :P

Consider making test characters before you make a keeper. It's an option in character selection/creation main page I think. If I could go back in time to when I was new I wish I'd have done that. Most classes change dramatically after level 56 if you decide to go awakening, so you can't really get a feel for the classes until much higher level than beginning.

Making a high level test character can let you play around with the skills and feel of the character.
