So, both on PC and on Console, your account or game or whatever won't be deleted?

You should ask PA directly using a ticket. That way, you can be reasonably sure to get correct information.

I remember getting an email from them a few years ago that if I didn't sign in my account would be deleted, since it had been nearly one year since I had logged in.

So how long has it been since you last logged in now?

I've been logging in about once every 11 months

OK I will share some info with you.

In Dec 2022 I asked PA;

"I have noticed a few posts in the Steam forums claiming that PA will cancel accounts if the user hasn't logged in within a 12 month period.

I cant find anything in the Pearl Abyss Terms of Service, the Black Desert Terms of Service or the Operational Policy which establishes this action as being part of the contract.

So what does happen if a user doesn't login within a 12 month period? "

PA replied;

"Greetings Adventurer,

My name is GM ******** and I will be happily assisting you today.

I understand that you are reaching out to us today, in regards to what happens if a player is inactive on their account for 12 months. Our GM team is always happy to assist in such cases and bring more clarity into situations like these.

After reviewing this for you, I can see that in accordance with a previous iteration of the Black Desert Terms of Service (Article 14): "Accounts that were inactive, could become dormant accounts. However, any dormant account could be reactivated by contacting our customer support."

This section of the Terms of Service was been reworked since then and should you have an account you cannot access due to this, you can reach out to us with any names of characters or the family name that you can remember. Or in the case of a Steam account the 17-digit Steam ID to help us locate and reactivate your account.

So rest assured there is definitely a way to help if this is the case with an account of yours!

I hope this brought some clarity to the situation for you, for anything else you may need, please feel free to get back to us at any time!

Stay safe on your future adventures and have a great day. (●'◡'●)"

This means that PA wont (then) cancel your account if you don't login for 12 months. In fact it appears they never did but once made accounts "dormant" but they could be reactivated.

But how do you know I haven't just made all that up? Or maybe the TOS etc have changed since.

Raise a ticket yourself.

Accounts do not get deleted for inactivity, I think you are confused by the service transfer that happened 3 years ago.

Accounts that did not give their consent during the service transfer had to be deleted following GDPR laws. This happens for any live service where you have signed up on the Internet.

Update: Yes, it does. From today's TOS update:

The Company may deactivate accounts that have no connection records for three years to prevent misuse and ensure continuous and stable service.

Deactivated accounts without any purchase history of paid items such as Acoin may have their account information deleted later.

It's a bit fk'ed up ngl.
