Missing interface settings

So I wanted to play this game with a gamepad, the only option available was the kb/m, when I reached the settings to change this I found out that I simply had no option in the settings menu.

Any clues how to solve this??

PS: Yes, I play all my games with gamepad, I even tried different ones to fix this.

You may not be able to edit your UI until your character is 7th level, but in case you can here are two guides.

You need to go into your settings when you have a character in-game, not the settings at the initial start screen.

Also, PA (Pearl Abyss) only supports the xbox controller. Although other controllers do work.

Yes, this is dumb as f*ck and makes no sense. As I remember at least you have to had passed the tutorial...
