Missing Characters?
Hello,

I'm coming back to BDO, but all of my characters are missing? I've got 3,686 hours on record but no characters to play? I've got my old emails with receipts or purchases and whatnot and some old screenshots if it's helpful but I'm not sure what I need to do in order to find my characters?

When you login, in the lower right of the PA Launcher, check the region and make sure it is set at the region you normally play in.

I checked both NA and EU regions, after contacting their support online the response I got: was that they are very sorry and understand my frustration but they cannot help. Lost thousands of dollars and hours on this game, totally inappropriate.

Was that back a few years ago when Kakao Games was the publisher for BDO?
A few years ago there was a publisher transfer.
Pearl Abyss was taking on being the Publisher for their own game.
Back when this happened, the players were contacted Numerous times to do the required transfer or they'd lose everything they had.
The required transfer was a USA/EU legal requirement thing.
Those that did not do the transfer did indeed lose everything.

If you fell into that category, it is very easy to catch up by playing a Seasonal character.
However, you can only play one seasonal character at a time.
Seasonal characters get LOTS of bonuses that Normal characters do not.
You can play multiple Normal characters.

So, you're saying it's easy for me to catch up to my 3686 hours and thousands of dollars spent by making a seasonal character and that should be okay?

I have receipts for all the purchases including DLC's and in-game items as I keep my books in good order. I don't have any emails or communications referring to the situation you're describing so I'm not sure that it's the same thing?

When did you last play. All accounts under NA and EU had to consent to transfer from Kakao to Pearl per EU GDPR laws and any account that was not consented kakao had to delete all info of so Pearl never got it and can not obtain anything in regards to that account which is why they will not help you get anything back. Chances are your warning emails may have gone spam and been auto deleted after so much time as that was in 2021 from January to end of May

And yes compared to 2021 you can easily catch back up in almost no time using seasonal server. Even level 60 is a few hours now a days

And what about those of us who transferred when we were supposed to? I quit after I transferred to PA. I even have the confirmation e-mail. Is there some kind of time frame you have to long in within or characters get deleted?

Pretty sure logging in was part of the transfer/was suppose to be done to verify the transfer actually went through to give them time to fix it before the timeframe was over.

Your account might have been deemed to be "dormant".

Try raising a support ticket asking to reactivate your account . Try using the "Guest" feature if you can't login to your PA account.

Quote BD family name and/or character names. If you don't remember them try quoting your 17 digit Steam ID.
