[100% GPU USAGE POSSIBLE FIX] - BDO Remastered Issue

I've been having this problem for some time, where BDO was making my GPU reach 100% usage as well as having high temperature over 80 degrees, after going through some methods I think I found a way to stabilise that.

For those that play the game on a high end PC like I do, and play on remastered, and like to have a lot of "FPS" in the game, seems like the "FPS" is the issue here, you might have too much FPS which is why your GPU is getting put into a lot of stress.

Here's the fix:

- Open your Nvidia Control Panel.
- Select "Manage 3D settings".
- Click on "Program Settings Tab" and select "BlackDesert64.exe".
- Scroll down until you find "Max Frame Rate" and set it to 120FPS cap.
- Then keep scrolling until you find "Background Application Max Frame Rate"
- And cap it to 30FPS
Basically what this does it caps your FPS down to 30 when your game is minimised.

Just in case if something doesn't go as intended after these changes, I'm going to type my BDO settings on my Control Panel so you guys could set it up on yours.

MY NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL SETTINGS:

- Image Scaling: use global setting
- Anisotropic Filtering OFF
- Antialiasing FXAA OFF
- Antialiasing Gamma Correction ON
- Antialiasing Mode OFF
- Antialiasing Setting OFF
- Antialiasing Transparency use global (off)
- Background Application Max Frame Rate 30 FPS
- CUDA GPUs use global setting (all)
- Low Latency Mode ON
- Max Frame Rate 120 FPS
- Monitor Technology use global setting (Fixed Refresh)
- Multi-Frame Sampled AA (MFAA) OFF
- OpenGL GDI Compatibiity - use global setting (Auto)
- OpenGL Rendering GPU [Choose your current GPU]
- Power Management Mode Prefer Maximum performance
- Preferred Refresh Rate (AsusTek Computer) Highest Available
- Texture Filtering: anisotropic sample optimization ON
- Texture Filtering: Negative LOD Bias ALLOW
- Texture Filtering: Quality HIGH PERFORMANCE
- Texture Filtering: Trilinear Optimisation On
- Threaded Optimisation AUTO
- Tripple Buffering OFF
- Vertical Sync OFF
- Virtual Reality Pre-Rendered Frames 1
Vulkan/OPGL Present Method use global setting (Auto)

So these are my settings, hopefully this works for y'all.

never had any issues with my GPU going up to 100% on max remastered setting, i play at 200FPS with all my settings on max.. no issue like what you had.

Have you tried Debug Mode in Nvidia Control Panel? (under Help)

I was having a similar issue but that fixed it for me. I blame trash drivers from Nvidia.

if i may ask,after the setting my Black spirit adventure and F3 very lag,do you know which part of the setting caused this?

When you press F3, that part of the new items Pearl Abyss releases, meaning the more new items all together the laggier it gets, so you can't do anything about it. As for your Black Spirit Adventure, I've never seen any problems regarding that but you can try switching your game to fullscreen if it's on Windowed mode, or if it's already on windowed mode, you swap it to fullscreen

well i only have that problem after follow your preset so i was wondering which part of the Nvidia setting caused it :D ,maybe i will try to restore it and try each one of them,tks anyway
