Launcher Updating Very Slow

after maintenance my update is incredibly slow. 20kb/s average. 10+ hours estimated time. ive reinstalled the game, cycled my pc and modem/router. maybe its a regional thing? my internet/speed test is 100mbps.
could there be a setting on my end throttling my speed? ive never had this prob with bdo launcher. i play a lot too.
this is pretty lame.

started a free trial for a VPN and its working normally now. very strange cuz it uasully works fine

spent over 2 hours on launcher, closed launcher because my login timed out..steam redownloaded patch in like 10 minutes..said file is corrupt..waiting for validation..i swear every time PA decides to change maint schedule something like this happens.

Update wasn't available on steam when servers came back up fyi..no way of knowing if the patch would be available in an hour or 12 hours like normal time
