Hi there, is the crash after a black screen, or does everything just disappear and you get no error message at all?

Could you give me your Windows version and build number please? So I that I'll be better able to assist you. To find out the version and build of your Windows, right-click start and select Run, then just ytpe Winver. Please list all of the number sequences and all.

For the time being, let's try applying the bdo.bat fix, which grants the game elevated access, the lack of is sometimes the result of a crash.

Download the bdo.bat file from the link below.

Place it into your Black Desert Online game directory.
C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Black Desert Online <--- place the bdo.bat file into this directory.

With the Steam Client running, launch the game from the bdo.bat file by double clicking it.

Alright, if that is the case with that error message, then the following fix has been known to remedy the very issue.

This issue can come up if Windows is not up to date. Please list your Windows build and version number, thanks!

To view your Windows build, right-click Start and select Run, then type Winver and a popup dialog will appear, copy the entire version and build number sequence.

Also, make sure your other drivers are up to date as well, sound, keyboard and mice, while you're at it.

At other times this issue can crop up when software packages of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables are either missing or corrupt from your system. Please download and install ALL of them from the direct links below.

Affix a number to the end of each download file if your PC does not automatically rename identical files, just don't overwrite any of the downloads - instead affix a number to them. : ) These files are direct from Microsoft and they are safe to install.

BTW, is your PC overclocked? Especially your RAM? This game's anti-cheat, XINGCODE3, absolutely abhors Overclocked RAM of all kinds! Doesn't matter how it's configured, or how a series of extensive ultra-deep RAM tests didn't pickup any errors, this game will. : )

Set your RAM to their default state if they are overclocked - as that too is a culprit in triggering this error.

I just switched to Steam version due to issues with bank/card processing payments. It was running for a random amount of time then window would just disappear plus every time I ran the game it was asking to select the 5 default settings.

Your suggestion to get and run the bat file worked great.

I had a feeling the game/folder was having issues saving. Running it at the elevated access worked great.

YO BOIS I FIXED IT. GO TO MY COMPUTER>DOCUMENTS>BLACK DESERT>GAMEOPTION
YOU SHOULD SEE A TEXT DOCUMENT WITH SETTINGS AND VALUES THAT CORRESTPOND TO THEM. 3RD LINE DOWN SHOULD SAY WINDOWED, CHANGE THE VALUE FROM WHATEVER IT IS CURRENTLY TO A ZERO AND CLOSE THE TEXT FILE AND IT WILL PROMPT TO SAVE IT, CLICK YES AND BOOM LAUNCH THE GAME.
