Trace of Ascension

I have workers from Velia, Heidle and Calpheon. But it says I don't have workers that can work the Ancient Stone Chamber node for the trace of ascension. What am I missing? TIA!

have you double checked that you have all the connecting nodes?

one time i was confused i couldnt send a worker to a spot but then i realized i missed investing into just one node that would of connected to all my other ones leading to the town my worker was in

I kinda feel like I have. I have contributed to every node around it being sure it's connected to Velia. But it's too far away from Calpheon and Heidle to connect all those nodes. But I dunno. Sometimes I miss the obvious with this game, but I still have fun. lol

the game is fun but the amount of knowledge you have to retain about all the mechanics can be a little overwhelming IMO

double check all the lines actually connect to veila without any breaks between them.

also it could be possible when you last tried sending a worker to the node, you did not realize all your veila workers are currently busy working on other nodes.

Screenshots:
If you are using the Steam App to play BDO....
Open Steam App
At the top left LMB the word Steam
LMB the word Settings
LMB the hyphened words In-Game
To the right you will see "Screenshot Shortcut Keys"
I've changed mine to Ins which is the Insert Key on the keyboard.
Whatever key you assign is what key you press to make in-game screenshots.

While in BDO Ctrl+U will hide your UI if you wish to hide it.
Ctrl+U again to bring it back.

To post the screenshot in Steam:
To view your screenshots using the Steam App
At the top left of the Steam App LMB the word View
LMB the word Screenshots
LMB the screenshot you want to post
You will need to upload it AND make it Public
After that LMB the screenshot and press the button "View Online"
Not the button View Online Library
Below the screenshot will be the word Share, LMB that word
It will bring up a box with a Hyperlink
Highlight and copy that link and paste it in the Steam App Thread you want to post it in

I am embarrassed to admit that I was just ignoring the obvious. When I clicked on the node I wanted a secondary one with a shovel icon showed up. I was supposed to click that. I just kept wondering what it was and ignoring it while getting frustrated that game wasn't doing what I wanted it to do. lol Finally I got curious when nothing else was changing and clicked it and there it was. The worker menu popped up and all was well in BDO. :D

in case you don't already know. if a node has excavation but you do not see the shovel icon when you click it. you have to go to the node manager and learn knowledge of the excavation site by spending energy.

if you do not see option to gain the knowledge you need to spend CB to unlock the node then talk to the manager again.

Ahhh, yeah, now that makes more sense than what I thought was happening. Guess I'm gonna need to spend some time chatting up node managers. Big Thank You for clearing that up.

i just learned that a few nights ago. i was trying to set up worker to gain traces and was confused about not seeing the shovel on the node. i went to it and there was two knowledge options i could learn and even after spending energy on those the shovel still wasn't there.

out of frustration i invested into the node then when i talked to manager again a new knowledge option showed up in chat. after learning that one, the shovel appeared. kinda annoying the game doesnt explain that mechanic at all.

There is also some nodes that do not fully open up until you complete some Academics.
Press H on your keyboard and open the Academics section.
The videos are a little old, but I really like Vely Gamings youtube videos on Academics and other guides she has listed.
