It would have been worse without the latest change to the pity system. I feel your pain, and yeah it's terrible when you can spend 8 hours a day grinding for silver just to watch it all go down the drain on failed RNG.
Because of that experience, I won't try to brute force any gear without cron stones anymore. I also won't buy cron stones now that they increased the price to 3 million each.
So I'll wait the month or two at a time it takes to build up a thousand or so cron stones and go back to very, very slow gear progression.
FYI, then, going forward I will only ever do the following upgrades without cron stones:
- Blackstar anything up to TET (not PEN)
- Godr Aye anything up to DUO (not TRI or higher)
- Sovereign up to DUO (my PRI to DUO sovereign failed 70-80% six times in a row, so I'm gun shy to try TRI without cron stones because the materials are so expensive per try)
- Boss up to TET
- Slumbering origin up to DUO
- Khazarad accessories to TET (those materials are absurdly expensive as well)
I have twenty or more unopened outfits in my bank box and inventory. And I won't convert any of them to cron stones because that's the same thing as throwing them away :)
You'll be okay with time on this. While there are some injuries and the like from which it's not possible to recover, losing an outfit or two in BDO is minor in the scheme of things. Over time you'll end up getting dozens of free outfits.
Just take it easy, listen to some music or an audiobook, and wait. While RNG in BDO can be brutal, you still eventually succeed in the long run with patience (lots and lots and lots of patience).
