If one character leaves a mount out your other characters will not be able to pull out a different mount.
The character that has the mount out will have to stable it before another character can pull another out.
This isn't my experience. I currently have eight characters which each have a horse out. (I can only play one character at a time though. If I comply with the TOS.)
Yes, I think this is incorrect. I have 33 characters each with their own horse, which sits outside whichever of my 7 houses I take them home to after each game session, or at least to some safe area if in a hurry. The only need for stabling a horse is to change to another one or to transport it somewhere while ballooning or sailing to LOML.
For the OP, I think the only way you can get rid of a horse is to sell it at a stable. Otherwise, even if it dies, you still own it, and can still resurrect it if you choose.
Also, if you didn't want the horses, why did you register them? You could have just binned the voucher, or whatever it is called.
If you're a new player, I highly suggested taking the Mythical Arduanatt because flying is a real game changer. And a Male Diné for the Dream horse, because you don't need the same kind of horse, male horses are more rare, the Diné is the second most useful horse, and you will be able to breed it with a female later if you want a Mythical.
If you made the mistake to take the same kind of horse for both Dream and Mythical, the advice still holds for any new player reading this anyway.
As a general rule, you should never stable the horse you're using on a character, always leave them out, unless you want change horse or use it on another character. The reason being that you can always remote collect a horse from anywhere instantly if it's out. If the horse is in a stable, you have to transport it, which takes 10 minutes.
You don't really have to feed and take care of it per se, you just feed it to recover stamina and health for it to be usable. If you want to get into horse breeding, which is something else entirely, I suggest looking for a guide online.
If your horse dies, you can always go to any stable, revive it, recover its health and stamina, and take it out again. I've seen horses die and get stuck on specific stables close to where it died where you had to go on foot collect it back but I don't remember the specifics as to why and how this happens.
Even if a horse is out, the horse is linked to the stable it was in last. So if you want to sort your horses because your stable is full or something, you may want to transport it somewhere else, may it be using the stable menu or manually.
You can only have one mount out at a time for a character but each of your characters can have their dedicated mount.
Also, take anything that Tsei13 says with a grain of salt.
It's the second time I see him giving semi-accurate, misleading informations.
I was never able to have more than one mount at a time.
Was this always a feature from the start of BDO that one could have more than one mount out at a time?
Also, can a single character have more than one mount out at a time?
Don't worry Tsel13, I'm sure we all carry an incorrect notion around with us over a thing or two. This is perhaps one of the most complex games ever. And I have learned a lot of things about it from your comments in the past.
No, to your question. One character out at a time. One mount out at a time. I think the OP left out some missing information about the two horses.
Also here I will add a general comment. I think the game is going a little crazy over giving away horses. I have 8 unused Golden Horse tokens in storage. Thankfully they stack. Plus 6 Secret Guards horse tokens, which don't stack. I don't want to get rid of them in case I want a wagon at some stage.
It's more about the wording. I suppose English isn't your main language. It isn't mine either to be fair. It's kind of you to be sorry and I feel a bit bad for you. I don't think you're doing it on purpose buddy.
To be clear, you can't have multiple horses out on the same character but you can have a horse out on any of your characters. Which means you can have more than one horse out at a time, just not on the same character.
