Group content is very different in BDO compared to about every other MMO. It's largely played as a single player game by most players. There are a few party based dungeons that are mid-late game. There are group grind spots that are mid-late game. There is group PvP centered around guilds fighting other guilds as well as 3v3 in the Arena of Solare. There are also a few guild group activities such as fighting guild bosses. You can party up and grind at anytime even in an area that isn't designated as a party grind zone. I have never done that myself, but I am pretty sure that you can designate how loot gets split to be somewhat fair to all the players.
