Need help with Blackstar box that should be as a reward for level 61
Hi, Title says it all. you see... I created Drakania seasonal character, did everything in season, started in the land of the morning light, leveled up to lvl 61 and nothing... Then I found out that I have to finish main quests BUT the problem is that the character is not seasonal anymore, the question is that if I can get the Blackstar box now or not?

In BDO chat I was told some crap that made no sense, one guy told me that the reward is given only after lvling up Scholar to 61 but after googling a ton, it just says "seasonal character to level 61" not scholar seasonal character...

So the question, can I get it even if my char is off season now? I cant find any info about it.

Mine just showed up in log in rewards and I don't have a Scholar character or Season character that is 61 or higher.

My guess is that you probably need to msq up and through Mediah and have a level 61 character.

You must not have "finished" LomL

Yeah but if I do it now lets say, the character is not seasonal anymore so IDK if it impacts the reward now...

What PA does not explain in their quick flash as your screen loads is you not only have to have a level 61 character, but that character claiming the Blackstar item has to have also finished one of the three main quest lines. PA does, however, explain this on their web page.

https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-us/News/Detail?groupContentNo=6359&countryType=en-us

Main quest lines:
01) Ancient Stone Chamber
02) Eternal Winter
03) Land of The Morning Light (LoML)
Once one character has leveled to 61 and finished one of the three main quest lines then they can claim the Blackstar box and give it to any character they want to have it. When the character that you want to have it opens the box, it'll be the appropriate item for that class.

Any character can do one, two, or all three of the main quest lines.
The easiest thing for you to do is go back to LoML and complete that quest line.

If you choose to do one of the other two quest lines....
Hit O on your keyboard. This brings up the quest UI.
At the bottom is a symbol that has 5 square boxes. Make sure it is highlighted yellow.
Within the quest UI line items look for the quests
01) Journey Begins
-or-
02) [Mountain of Eternal Winter].
LMB Navigate and it will bring up the Black Spirit.
At the bottom LMB Main Quest and choose the quest you want to do and then navigate to the start.

Yes, I did read that before posting here but there is nothing about "if you did not finish the questline as seasonal character and already graduated, you are not eligible to obtain Blackstar weapon box" and that is what I am most concerned about, if its still possible then sure, the easiest is to just finish the questline that I have already started, if its not possible to obtain in on already graduated character that I finished 2 days ago, then sadly imma have to do it the hard way and make another one which takes me more than 3 times longer to level up because the 1000% XP buff is gone...

So here is all you need to know to analyze and possibly give me an answer if you can:

Character created on monday, level 61 reached on Wednesday evening, Graduated Thursday morning, trying to get info about the Blackstar weapon box reward started Thursday afternoon because nobody in BDO chat was not able to reply nor help... I was either ignored or told "just press Y" even tho I had no rewards there and nobody helped in this regard... In desperation I started the scholar character thinking that getting that to lvl 61 might be one of the key requirements but the website says this

"Reach level 61 and finish one of these questlines on a seasonal character"

So I dont know if I can continue on Graduated character of it its hard requirement to do them quest on seasonal char before graduation, cuz if that is the case then im screwed cuz the 1000% XP event is over and instead of 2 to 3 days solo it will take me like 2 weeks... And please dont start with "just go to Desert Nagas and grind for 6 hours at the same spot..." and so on... I already know about all that but I have a limit and doing the same thing for almost a week now, I dont really like to spend X days doing that so I rather be doing it my way which takes longer but I wont get bored of the game and stop playing again like I did in the past. So, does anyone know if I do need to be seasonal or if its okay to be graduated and finish it now... Hopefully I explained everything to the exact detail.

I never did Loml and I received it.

He said he started his seasonal toon in Loml.
You only have to finish one of the MQ either velia/devuncrune/loml starts.
So he didn't finish LOML main quest, graduated his seasonal and never got the challenge for blackstar done.
He pretty much has to make another seasonal char lol
Tsel13 Jan 4, 2024 @ 1:05pm
I also have never started or have done the LoML quest line.
I got the Blackstar weapon with my Normal Character Tamer.
My Tamer has finished both the Ancient Stone Chamber and Eternal Winter quest lines.
I did not do any accelerated quest lines with my Tamer.
After my Tamer claimed the Blackstar weapon, I gave it to my 61st level Shai that has not completed any of the main quest lines and she is using it.

Being a Scholar is not required.
Being a Seasonal Character is not required.

You do not need to be a Seasonal Character to finish the LoML quest line.
You can complete the LoML quest line with your Normal Graduated character.

EDIT: The 1000% CombatXP is just an Event to help leveling via grinding.
Most of my ALT's are Normal Non-Seasonal Characters.
All of them are level 61 and I did not need the 1000% CombatXP Event to get them to 61 fast.
It is super easy to level any character to 61 fast.

Everyday PA gives players a choice of a LifeXP or CombatXP scroll.
If you use simple alchemy on 3 each of those scrolls, you can convert them to an even higher XP scroll. Three each normal CombatXP scroll will become a 600% CombatXP scroll.

This is the exact toxicity and rudeness that is all the times in chat in BDO... Please do not join this discussion if you cant behave like a normal person, thanks.

Yeah thanks, imma keep doing em quests then and if something, I can report back here for others that might have this problem to see if it worked or not.

Like I said, I dont really care if its easy for you to get lvl 61. First of all, quests are mostly boring and they are a walking simulator, story is not interesting so lvling up via running all over the place and spamming R is not really fun and sitting behind PC killing stuff at the same place with just the goal to kill 100 creatures and get 0.100% of your lvl to go up is also not really fun... What is fun on the other hand is to actually see progress... I think the 1000% XP event should be standard cuz otherwise its just too boring to level up a character via any method... I make a new character, find some people that do Mirumoks, they are lvl 61 to 63 grinding there so they bag me in and I was afk there for 2 hours and I got from lvl 58 to lvl 59 at around 80%... and I had 3 scrolls, XP boost book and a bunch of other stuff... I do consider that as slow cuz if I compare this grind to any other game like WoW and so on, WoW actually has very cool and interesting story which is also walking simulator but it has a cool story yet the combat sucks and is outdated AF...

If you say its fast then enlighten me and prove me wrong that I can go to a location solo and get from lvl 1 to 61 within 12 hours. I dont want to be rude, I just wonder how cuz I did try many tips in the past before my account got wiped cuz I did not transfer it, and all I can say is that they said "2 hours" and then they always say "but it depends on how efficient you are with the grind" so IDK if killing 10 to 15 mobs per combo within 4 seconds or less is a bad technique but most of the time what they say does not make any sense... Watching videos, tried that... it was quite useless cuz most of them were for either a different class or those people were rocking TET or PEN gear on a lvl 20 character cuz they bank over a trillion silver in their warehouse so they just get end game gear on a new character and tell you "do this and that" meanwhile you got +5 gear collected from killing basic mobs... That does not apply to Seasonal characters now ofcorse but still... To get somewhere you gotta enhance it regardless and sometimes u get lucky like I did on Shai and have 2K begginer black stones left and 1.6K time filled black stones left while using almost no advice of valks... and sometimes u get super unlucky that you get 1 weapon to PEN, Armor to PEN and the rest of your gear is at 0 cuz u got no Time filled black stones or begginer black stones for NARU gear so u cant even get to Tuvala... So I wonder HOW.
Nhika Jan 4, 2024 @ 1:45pm
Okay, now your story has holes everywhere.
First you said you made a seasonal character, started in LoML and didn't get your blackstar. This means you either didn't finish LomL or this was an older Seasonal toon.

Now you talk about black stones and enhancing gear to pen, when anyone getting power leveled to 56 in 10 minutes can collect all of it and have 5-10k leftover.

And your third issue, again probably because you didn't make a new seasonal. TUVALA GEAR DOESN'T DROP BELOW TRI ANYMORE LMAO

You'll need to do the Chenga Tome quest line.
The first time you do it, it WILL be tedious and mind numbing, but after you do it one time any time you do it after that nearly 45% to 50% of that quest line is accelerated.

If you have never done your leveling this way before, it will allow you to gain Knowledge of areas. This helps with your Energy max.

You can also use the CombatXP scrolls that you have converted to 600% CombatXP scrolls to grind to gain levels instead.
If you have PEN'd all of your Tuvala Gear and Accessories, you can grind Polly's pretty easily.
-or-
Mix grinding with the questing to level 61.
I can get to level 61 in 12 hours or less, but I have the advantage of knowing where to go and stuff like that, so it might take you a bit longer.

Interesting. But you also have the areas explored and so on aswell as money for better gear sooo, yeah. I can try that some day in the future but as of now I need to finish that dang buggy LoML quest line.
