However, with regard to your concern that Season characters cannot progress beyond Tuvula, keep in mind this is a temporary state which only lasts until you graduate.
A PEN Tuvula item is the equivalent of a TET boss item with regard to AP/DP and related stats. So PEN Tuvula, something reasonably easy to make within a few weeks, is incredibly good for a new character.
When you graduate you'll get the option to convert one Tuvula weapon/armor piece into TET boss, and the rest will become a fixed tuvula item which cannot receive enhancement but which can be worn by non-Season characters.
The item you convert to boss can receive caphras if you want, or you can try to enhance it to PEN. I don't suggest you try to enhance it to PEN as you'll find it potentially very stressful.
Also when you graduate look into Jetina quests. You can make on PEN accessory, one PEN weapon and one PEN armor cheaper than buying it on central market. More than one of each category starts gettig expensive.
Also, after you graduate, I urge you to do the horrific but valuable questline called Magnus. This will also give you another free PEN armor piece, something super valuable.
Ultimately you'll want to replace all Tuvula gear with boss gear (or better), but the great thing about PEN Tuvula is it's good to open a huge portion of the bDO world to you for hunting and exploration.
Thank you, that is more helpful information than I have received in several days.

Evildousharm in my opinion is 1 of the best bdo guide makers on youtube and highly recommend any of his guide videos for both new and veteran players, they are straight forward no bullsh** guides no excessive over talking just tells you what you need to know and gets on with it with easy to follow examples when it comes to doing anything within the world of bdo :)
Though I'll let you know that Oasis gear had nothing to do with Seasons.
When the COVID lockdowns were in effect, BDO started the Oasis event with NPCs in each town that would sell convenient things like the Oasis armour (equivalent to TRI Boss gear), Oasis Cron Meals, Oasis Carrots, etc. When that event ended, all Oasis gear was removed.
Also, you don't normally get "prompts" to upgrade your gear. You keep track of it yourself, and upgrade when you have the failstacks/materials/Crons to do so.
Anyway, the purpose of Seasonal characters is to provide an introduction to the concept of gear enhancement, with cheap, easily-enhanceable gear that is exclusive to the Seasonal system.
Your goal with a seasonal character is to reach Lv 60 or higher, with full PEN Tuvala, within the time limit of that Season. The reason this is appealing is because, as mentioned above, PEN Tuvala is equivalent in stats to TET Boss gear, while being much, much cheaper and easier to acquire.
So in short, you create a Season Character.
You use the Time-Filled Stones you get while playing to enhance your Naru gear.
Once at PEN, there is an option in the enhancement window to turn PEN Naru gear into PRI Tuvala gear.
Then you continue by using Tuvala ore and the other stones to get your Tuvala to PEN.
Then, when the season ends and the seasonal server closes, your character gets converted into a "regular" character. Your Tuvala gear also gets converted into "normal" equipment that any non-seasonal character can wear, and you have the option to trade one of your PEN Tuvala pieces for an equivalent boss armour.
There are also bonus seasonal rewards for completing the season, like Fughar offering you a PEN Capotia accessory. This provides incentive for people who are already levelled and geared to make a secondary Seasonal character each time seasons open. They get that seasonal character levelled and geared, claim the reward for their main, and either keep the seasonal character as an alt or just delete them.
So if done correctly, you'll end the season with a Lv 60+ character wearing the equivalent of TET boss gear, all done within a few weeks. Before the concept of seasons, this state would take people months or years.
Oh, and in the future - if you ever want to get rid of a character that has a pearl outfit, don't just delete them. Go to a blacksmith and Extract the outfits first. This turns them into Cron stones which you can save in your storage, and are extremely useful to save you resources on high-level gear enhancements.
Sooo much info here, thank you very much. I can't believe I missed out on Cron Stones over that. That hurts, lol.
DUDE WHY!@!!!
you didn't need to delete those characters man you could have made them into life skillers and kept them to make money!!!!
so how it works is during seasonal months once you get pen naru gear it will give you the option to upgrade it to tuvala and then you get that to pen also and once the season finishes it will transfer that gear into standard tuvala gear at what ever enhancement level you have it at" but you need pen tuvala for the next step so I suggest you get it too PEN!" Once you graduate that seasonal character you can trade your normal tuvala pen gear for tet boss gear which will be now your starting point for the rest of the game.
Ya you could have still kept your alts for other purposes such as life skills what I am doing and they are just normal characters with just life skill armor sets.
