According to the PA, this is good because it removes excess silver from the game. But what excess are they talking about since me and 99% of players will never accumulate enough silver to buy true best end game items.
A reasonable amount of taxes would be 10% (5% with VP).
I thought that, and I can already afford a PEN necklace.
It's just a matter of time and perseverance.
Also, I highly doubt that the devs are going to touch taxes, ever.
In any good mmo game (WoW, ESO, NW), EVERY player has end game items in a reasonable amount of time. Only in Korean MMOs, playing/grinding doesn't make sense because it's an endless story, so playing is pointless. It's 2023, not 2005, no one wants to waste years of their life on Cabal-style games anymore and Korean dev teams should adapt their games to Western audiences since they direct them to the Western market and Western consumers who are their main source of income.
So if there is no chance to get 3 x black star pen, fallen set pen and deboreka set pen during one year, then as above: there is no point in playing.
You don't get why people play BDO. This isn't the Sooner driving your car to the top of Pike's Peak. This is climbing K2 if it was perched on Everest. There are items in the game that no one legitimately has acquired, but when someone does, its news will travel like wildfire.
This isn't the "Everyone gets an A for showing up" MMO.
Obviously, you don't enjoy the game as it is. You should just move on to something that you do enjoy and stop wasting your time here.
BDO does not respect player progression, you shouldnt respect it either, u can take a break and treat it casually taking advantage of any freebies it has to offer
But once you have put in a few money in it, it's already ez without paying then :p
The only thing that annoys come later today with the crons change to 3mil
instead they should have introduced fixed prices for many things. The rich players often push the price down for fun or influence the market in their favor. This is often seen when many things are listed in the lowest price although there are none in the upper price.
Fixed prices would more help as 3mil to crons. I dont understand how this help the game.
Many new players need crons to get pen gear if they unlucky so its more expensive less enjoyable.
Hope Pearl abyss change their mind about this system in future again~
Training = catching horses.
There is no point if even T8 horses are cheap, why catch T6 horses?
Trading = can always be active, but what's the point if it's not profitable.
Sailing + Bartering = same as Trading.
Active bartering is much more profitable than semi-afk (Margoria and islands quests).
Farming = pointless, boring and wasteful of our energy, we get nothing that is worth active farming.
Alchemy and Cooking = here is not much possibility of active action here, but it must be semi-afk to get additional benefits (bonus quests).
Fishing = hot spots. Unfortunately, triple fishing rod is too difficult to obtain, and even after the latest Trading update which increased the price of fish, active fishing it is still worth too little.
Gathering = 100% active.
You tried to be funny but you failed.
