Question about Weapon Exchange coupons (not the Tuvala sort)

Can you use these coupons on non marketable boss gear?

This is the scenario: My awakened Guardian has all 7 pieces of reformable TET boss gear acquired from jetina. I have reformed her awakened weapon to PEN - all good.

I would like to reform her Main weapon too - but only if I can use a coupon to swap it to my Succ Nova. My succ Nova already has a TET main from Jetina (via tuvala->boss tet at end of season)- but it cannot be reformed or sold. So I would like to get the guaranteed upgrade version from my guardian.

So - can I:

1)Use coupon to exchange reformable weapon from Guardian to Nova? If I can, does it matter if I reform the weapon first? Can I reform it on the Nova or does that characteristic
disappear on transfer?

2)Use another coupon to exchange my Nova's original TET boss main weapon (not reformable or tradeable) for another character class? This character will be parked at World Boss location so will just keep it's "new" TET weapon forever.

I have googled this but get a lot of conflicting answers or just guesses!

No, sadly those exchange coupons only work on gear that can be sold on the CM (Central Market).
I have tried and it did not work. 😞

EDIT: You can actually, Jetina reform any boss gear that you got for a seasons graduation.
The kicker is you can only do 4 armor pieces and 3 weapons and each armor and weapon type once.
1 - Helm
1 - Armor
1 - Gloves
1 - Boots
1 - Main Weapon
1 - Awaken Weapon
1 - Sub-Weapon

EDIT2: What you can do is don't open the weapon box and give it to the character you want to have the weapon. That way when they do open it, it is a weapon for that particular character class.

Ahh - shame about the weapon coupons :(

However I didn't realise you could reform any season converted boss gear (within the overall limitations). I had assumed it was only the 7 pieces on my Guardian as they were the only ones which a "reform level 0" in their description.

Will have a look later and see what I've got. Now I know that I can't swap these types of weapons, I will have to decide (as it is a one way street) what main hand weapon I want to spend the resources on in the reform process. This going to be hard as I still have not decided on my main character(s) after all this time!

Unless the weapon exchange says specifically on it you can't (Tuvala exchange coupon) then yes you can swap your reformable boss weapons using exchange coupons :) You can also exchange boss weapons that are obtained as season reward that cannot be reformed :)

Both the reform level and caphras lvl of the weapon, swap to the new character when you do the exchange so you can continue to reform it to pen or caphras it up to max after the exchange :)

When i done the jetina reform quests I inadvertently did it with different characters, I have since swapped all the reformable boss weapons to one character using exchange coupons :) and slowly reforming them and armour pieces to pen as in when i remember i need to do them lol :)

I was beginning to feel really disappointed that I had exchanged my PEN tuvala kit for tet boss - at least I could exchange the Tuvala (with appropriate coupons) to other characters! I am glad that this is possible for post season exchange tet boss after all. I guess it didn't work for Tsel13 because something has changed sometime? After all the game seems to be tending towards making things easier re QoL stuff...

I should explain that I will not be going through the RNG upgrade process (it's not for me). My plan is to give all such TET gear to Boss alts and Infinity piece farmers and leaving things at their level. The only upgrades i will be doing is the guaranteed Jetina Pen plus later Caphras stuff. All other PEN for future Caphras will be purchased for silver earned by grinding and life skilling. Slow but stress free lol.

BTW for info - I built a level 1 reform stone and tried to use it with my tet kzarka on my nova (i.e. tuvala to boss exchange at end of season, no reform stats listed). It was weird; the weapon reform choice list just didn't even include the weapon. However it did include the tet boss sub-weapon (also boss exch etc) and even listed Tuvala stuff. What??? Hey ho - sometimes trying to understand this game is like trying to translate an ancient language with only half the alphabet!

Ran a test for you :) I didn't have any sub or main weapon exchange coupons, but i did have 2 awakening coupons (so i could revert change) pics below I'm not set up for video recording (nothing installed i could have recorded with) so pics is all i have but the awakening weapon exchanged was the reformable one :)

I don't have any coupons to test the others :(
My main hand reform is lvl 2, my sub is lvl 1 :)
I'm pretty sure that at least 1 of them i exchanged with a reform lvl on it, i have a vague recollection of thinking "ohh that's cool reform lvl swaps with it" on an exchange but was so long ago now I can't be 100% sure, to be honest I keep forgetting I have the reform gear :) I really should get on with penning it all lol
When did you try exchange was it recent or long time ago? you have me curious now lol

About 4 months ago.
It would not let me, because it was all grayed out.
I was using the regular exchange coupons not the Tuvala ones. 😊

Greyed out as in the weapon in your inventory was greyed out?
when you clicked the exchange coupon did it allow you to click the weapon into the top box of the exchange pop up, if it did then the exchange should have worked :)
the box at the bottom where it say what it exchanges too. is always greyed out no matter what :)

The boxes for the coupon were grayed out. Meaning supposedly I had nothing in my inventory to do the exchange when I did.
EDIT: It doesn't matter now.
I bought the PEN version from the CM.

Errrmmm okay lol you have officially confused me lol coupon boxes? you mean on the pop up?
you right clicked the coupon then the pop up came up, and the weapon no longer showed in your inventory? can honestly say not seen that :) if the weapon shows in inventory then it should click in lol
the boxes on the pop up i believe start greyed out, you click the weapon (even though i just did it can't remember if it's right or left click lmao shocking) and the weapon should fill the top box, the result box remains greyed out, just click exchange you get a confirmation box like in pic 2 :) (also in pic 2 you can see the box is greyed out) hit confirm :) it's all i've ever done lol
wish i had some coupons to test the other weapons, I did just find a main exchange in logins but it's the only 1 i have now lol.... and I'd kinda like to use that on a blackstar weapon i want to swap to my mystic lol

Edit: the Boxes on the coupon start empty :) the top box fills with the exchange weapon and the bottom box greys out :)

Right Click regular sub weapon coupon.
Coupon came up
I had a TET Boss sub weapon, from a different character class, in my inventory next to the coupon.
It would not allow me to put the sub weapon into the coupon, to change it to the different characters sub weapon type.
So, after a few days, I gave up and simply bought the PEN version for my character instead of doing the change.

Seems like something must have been bugged for you or got changed :)
I have just tested (without confirming) the main weapon exchange and at reform lvl 2, I was able to put the weapon in the exchange box and click the exchange option, to get the confirmation box :) at which point I said no, as i really don't want to use it on a test lol can post a pic of the exchange confirmation if anyone wants it :)

no worries the awakening coupons I have had for ages so no biggy :) I don't swap awakening weapons very often, it's usually sub or main weapons that I mess around swapping lol :)
