While we understand the desire to have more time, Marni's Realm was intended to only act as a supplementary mode rather than be an integral part of PvE. From its onset, Black Desert's concept is that of an open-world MMORPG, and most of the game's content was created based on this concept of an interconnected world. That is why we believe changing the time available for Marni's Realm may negatively impact our vision for the game's concept, leading us to maintain the current 1-hour limit.
You're not wrong about the potential negative impacts of making Marni Private Realm a core PVM portion of the game rather than something to assist players to do quests in highly contested or crowded areas.
This said, most of the quests people need to do in those areas require an hour and a half, sometimes two hours depending on gear scores.
I don't think you'd get the negative impact extending it to 95 minutes instead of 65 minutes., and you'd probably get the positive impact of having private realm match player needs.
But I do agree if you went infinite length you'd have the impact you fear :)
p.s. To be specific, the daily quests at Gyfin Lower take my witch almost an hour and a half and my guardian around 75 minutes. The Forest Ronaros pity piece quest takes me around 1 1/2 hours (sometimes close to 2 hours), and the Necropolis and Blood Wolves pity piece quests take me around 75 minutes. There are few quests I can complete in 65 minutes, but most can be completed in 75 to 90 minutes.
So the situation is clear to everyone. It's not worth even starting BDO or leaving Hiedel for 1 hour, especially since game is gigantic and doesn't have a free fast travel system.
So calculate how much time will be wasted on the journey from Hiedel to eg. sulfur or gyfin, and then back, and there is a good chance that someone will be there, and as you know "2 people on the spot is already a crowd".
7 years and you still can't understand that the game is for us players, not for you and your "vision of the game".
We players, your customers, have our vision of the game.
A few months ago BDO made a change to horse training allowing us to get training XP simply from riding a horse, and before that they made it so that T8 and higher horses can level beyond 30 which is beneficial because when a horse gets high enough level you can park it in dangerous zones without it being attacked by monsters.
For instance, a horse which is 77th level will not be attacked by monsters level 62 or less. So far I have one Dine 87th level and a pegasus who is 66th level gradually working toward 77th level.
Travelling across the large BDO map is no longer a waste of time. I get a genuine sense of benefit the more I travel.
While in the context of this thread I do wish the Marni realm would be extended to 95 minutes, with the off topic complaint of lack of free fast travel I disagree and dissent.
There is fast travel: magnus. Though, it does cost money.
Another fast travel option is archeologist's map and travelers map.
Infinite is unneeded. Make it 10 hours a day and we're good.
Well this is a huge problem especially now with influx of new players where every server is CROWDED.
And as I do understand open world PvP is main concept of this game, but this simply doesn't work when every server is crowded.
Here is my experience of grinding.
I get to grinding spot 3 people already there SHARING IT. They are not fighting they are grinding slow. You fight them, you kill them, they come back and continue doing same thing while ignoring you. So thats a waste of buffs and time.
I change server, same thing. Change another server, same thing. Change to server without my guild, same thing but now I have to wait 10 minutes while my buffs are going off.
So the only solution is what? to grind with 3 more people? or just wait in a town collecting guild and login rewards, selling them and waiting to get a drop or 150 bil?
Did you tried playing Orc's camp lately? IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GRIND THERE
Can you please give me a solution how to grind this game after I spend 1 hour in Marni?
I would love to know how much time I need to collect infinite potion with grinding only 1 hour a day...
Having Marni on 2 hours wouldn't hurt anyone because already now NOBODDY wants to PvP. If I kill them they just come back to the point I have to leave, not them who lost the battle, but me, who was grinding there already and won a battle.
Grinding is such a frustrating waste of time just to start and then you get interupted and need to change server and pray to gods that nobody is on that spot...
It's not trash but it's not there to play...
Once you do weekly dungeons which take you less than hour, you can do them but get insignigicant rewards.
Once you do weekly boss blitz, you can do them again but just for better times, no rewards
You do Pit of Undying which is also less than an hour,
And thats about it for PvE content, im not going into life skilling because thats not my main focus, I want to combat.
99.99% item drops you need in this game come from grinding, you won't get infinite potions by life skilling, you won't get any treasure items by life skilling, nor garmoths heart nor anything significant to combat.
So basically once you are done with PvE content, worst case scenarion in a day, you have nothing to do for 6 days except grind spots, which leads us to the problem we have now. Crowded servers, nobody wants to PvP, even if you do they ignore you and stay on your spot until you lose your karma...
and if there is something that ahs been killing games this last decade is the "we players have our vision of the game", most masterpieces (like dark souls, hideo kojima games etc), are this good because the director had the audacity to be loyal to their ideas, sticking to them.
So no, stop acting like a child, and you should consider playing another game, because its clear you dont like bdo for the thing that makes it bdo.
I guess you are one of those PK players that like beating under-geared players... also dark souls is solo game with invasions from time to time the same as of hideo kojima games.....
