How to Leave LoML

I finished the main quest line for LoML now how do I leave this god forsaken place of hell?

I can only think of two ways:

a) do the whole magnus quest line, and then pay 17 million silver for fast travel to somewhere else, or

b) find someone with a ship willing to take you :(

There is a Ship that does its rounds between Namo Port and Oquilla’s Eye.
Then there is a different ship that does its rounds between Oquilla’s Eye and BDO Main Land.
You can also take a ship that does its rounds between Oquilla’s Eye and Iliya Island.
At Iliya Island you can ride the crate the Griffon carries between it and Velia.

The ships are lengthy spaced apart, time wise, so you might have a bit of a wait.

I have noticed there are a load of tales, Do i need to do each one of these? I really just wanna get off this place so I can play with my friends who chose a different start area.

Also Ruler of Taebaek is this the one that I need to do to get off this stupid DLC island?

I don't think any of the suggestions made so far are going to help you SarahWild. Your predicament speaks to my argument that this option should never have been opened as a choice to new players. Having said that, I'm sure the devs would have at least considered this may happen but whether they have provided a not easily found escape route I can't say.
And even if you managed to find a way off LoML you would not, I believe, be able to play on any other quest line until this is finished (which I doubt, from what you said later, you have actually accomplished).

My only suggestion is for you to leave this character on LoML and begin a new one on one of the alternative openings (I suggest The Ancient Stone Chamber). You have a number of free characters available and, if you are quick, can still progress a season character quite far before the end of season. This will break the impasse and enable you to return to your original character, without loss, at a stage when you have more options and are better equipped to complete the quest line - or alternatively delete the character and put the whole thing down to experience. It all depends on whether and how much real money you have put into it.

Of course, you could always try Support for a way out. Good luck, whatever you do, and don't give up. We all have regrets.

I thought to even start LomL you had to have Magnus done?
Then you pay 16mil to go through the Inuyasha Wells :P

Nhika, that's true for existing players but for a beginner with a first character it is one of the three choice game openings which presumably plunges you straight into the island scene (how could a raw beginner be expected to do Magnus when many experienced players find it next to impossible). I could be wrong of course because I haven't been in that situation. As I was also wrong to assume SarahWild was in that position (I now see she has quite a lot of hours in the game).

But that is not the main point. Yes, as Tsel13 has found, there are adequate ways to get off the island (Karna5 even considered swimming :) ). But unless you have actually finished the quest line (which presumably provides an easy way off) you will be stuck with the condition of not being able to play any other quest line (that is a condition of entry to both new beginnings). And that is the big stopper. The only way I see is to leave that character marooned in LoML and begin again with a new or existing character to gain better family conditions for another try later, or abandon it altogether.

Again, I could be wrong, and if anyone knows of a way to overcome this, please speak up. It does not appear to be simply a matter of escaping the island.

LOML is semi early in magnus i only just did the ship BS and i was able to port off the island.

That's interesting, but can you be a bit more specific? By 'ship BS' do you mean the rowboat and the cat with no clear sense of direction? Also, did you do this with a character which began the LoML quest-line from the new character start option or the Emma quest-line for existing characters? Or did you simply make your own way to the island, without a quest?

Grizzledorf. yes it is one of three starting choices every new character is given. Not having taken that path I don't know if it begins with magnus or dumps them on the LoML island. There is one possibility I have seen for involving Magnus early on is that you are forced to jump down the well during being chased by the local Goon squad as an unavoidable part of the opening quest.
If all it involves is up to the rowboat thing as RealReality says (which leads to the first Magnus exit point) then that might make sense as having done the Magnus quest. That is not too difficult for new characters or players to complete.
But the devs do need to take some lessons in customer communication. We are not all geniuses like they are.

I'm around level 33 (haven't played for a week or so, can't remember my level), I completed the first set of Magus quests but I think I needed to pick up the next part (there's loads of them in this part) to unlock LoML. So I bought a ship instead and sailed there. I'll be sailing back to the mainland at some point soon as there's not a lot to do there for my level. Or maybe I just didn't look hard enough. I'd be happy to give anyone passage back to the mainland if you're about.
