If the way one tells the difference is the cloud color, but yet the individual is color blind, how else can they tell the difference?
A thing of note about color blindness.
In most cases, if one is color blind to a color, no color exists.
They do not see a substitution of a color.
It is as if the color is not there at all, it is absent.
So, please include an answer to this question as well as the question(s) Karna5 asked.
I have gotten to the point of just cheesing the fight. Run in at the beginning and throw down a few skills then retreat and watch until he dies!
First some common insights we all know.
You know when you get desert sickness that desert sickness icon appears with the countdown timer on it?
Well, TC Kutum does the same thing.
With a Blue or Orange/Yellow Electrical Orb icon.
If it is Blue go to the left tunnel.
If it is Orange/Yellow go to the right tunnel.
Now watch your video.
When you see the wording, "Kutum releases a thundercloud which inflicts a slow and painful death"
Look down at your buffs, (Potions, scrolls, Tent, whatever).
You will see either a Blue electrical Orb or a Orange/Yellow Electrical Orb.
In the first debuff you got 9 seconds into your video, you'll see that a Orange/Yellow Electrical Orb appeared.
That means you have 1 minute to get into the right tunnel. (Right as in position, not as being correct).
But you went into the left tunnel.
Going into the wrong tunnel cause an even harsher debuff to happen.
In essence you turned up the Death Card.
However, I wish PA made something show up just a tad bit larger, not too large, just a bit larger, and maybe used different symbols for those that have problems seeing colors. 😊
EDIT: A couple of your deaths were not due to the cloud, but rather you got caught in an insta-death attack. A higher DP or more HP might have prevented it.
The desert sickness debuff goes into its own line along with other debuffs. You're sasying that the TC Kutum debuff goes in the buff icons line rather than the debuff icons line?
Also, memorizing blue is left while yellow is right doesn't make sense to me. Is there no clue on the corridors which one is needed?
TC Kutum is a rare monster, so isn't there a mechanic telling us which corridor to use?
I'll try another TC Kutum when I see one pop up again, but memorizing color to direction doesn't make sense to me. There needs to be a better way :(
And it's distressing they're putting a debuff icon in the buff line instead of the debuff line :(
p.s. Also yes, I'm aware only 5 of my 9 deaths were to the debuffs. The last four were to brute force attacks. I just included those brute force deaths in case there's a mechanic to recognize that they're coming just like SB Karanda gives warning before brute force attacks come.
With SB Karanda, if you back away from or iframe the brute force attacks, which are telegraphed, then even 308 DP can fight SB Karnada. If you try to face tank without dodging SB karanda you need 402 DP, but I fought dozens of times with 308 DP then 322 DP against SB Karanda without issue. I'd like to find out if TC Kutum can likewise be fought with the 322 DP bracket or if only 402 DP is meant to fight it.
Two or three times I took the correct corridor but was not purified of the debuff, but my witch was able to self heal through it anyway.
I experimented to try to see what big TC Kutum attacks can be blocked with Q Guard and determined not many can be.
The whole fight had incredibly confusing mechanics, but more importantly, the whole fight was incredibly unfun.
TC Kutum remains my least favorite monster in BDO. But I guess I'll leave that witch there for now. She used to be parked at SB Karanda, but now that my Guardian usually does SB Karanda that witch can use a new job. I'm not sure where to send my Maehwa.
