how does endgame look like?

i played this game years ago and i see its popping off again but im unsure if its the right game for me.
How does Endgame look like and is pvp fun?

Endgame is non existent in this game. all you do is grind and more grind
basically can sum up like this:
Grind > get higher level gear > Another grind > get even more level stuff > grind some more > rinse and repeat

False.
Grind > echant fail > grind > echant fail > rinse and repeat next 5-10-15 years.

You will never get best items from grind because they currently cost over 2500b in total.

None of these hammers (and I had all of them during events) didn't give me a pen (at over 250 fs).
Today my friend had a fail at bs pen and .... he failed to get back to tet despite 18 tries.
In total, the attempt to return to tet cost him more than the value of that tet.
Such an enchant system (degrading items) as it is in bdo makes no sense.

Ouch. I can't imagine trying for PEN blackstar without cron stones (or jhammer). It's far too difficult to hit TET, so once I hit TET Blackstar I always cron PEN attemptos.

So far I've taken 13 blackstar items to TET and three blackstar items to PEN. I never cron TET attempts (I use TET attempts to bulid fail stacks for PEN attempts). But I always cron PEN attempts.

As it can easily take 22 or more tries to hit PEN, that means I have long waits between PEN attempts while I build up the required cron stones (980 per try for BS armor).

I don't bother PEN attempts on weapons without jhammers as that takes too many cron stones, but everyone I know who does go for PEN on weapons does use cron stones.

Yup, that's the true toxic endgame of BDO as far as fallen god gear goes.
You're buying outfits off of the market.. to melt.. for enhancement materials other people spent money on the outfits for lol

if your whole goal in the game is simply to go for the best gear and such yes as everyone has said its hours and hours of grinding mobs or hours at work to drop in the pearl shop.

However thats not the only end game I pretty much play and have with characters that never have more then say 280 or so ap yes I cant go to all the best end game spots and such but I am also not ripping my hair out trying to play the fail stack game and just keep myself occupied with things like life skills and other random side projects

On the pvp note I am not super into it cause it was pretty much the pay to win aspect of the game so unless they have added in some mode where everyones stats are set odds are you wont have a good time in it

I have all manos tet tools, and got them all with crons. What did it get me? Nothing. The value of the crons I used was equal to the price of manos tet in the market.

I have a few PEN items, like V, that I have spent more on attempting the PEN than the actual CM (Central Market) cost. Although, I have never bought a Pearl Outfit to turn into Cron Stones like some other players have done. -- No V, I know you have not done that neither. I'm just writing other people --. 😊
I get all of my Cron Stones either free from PA (Pearl Abyss) or I buy them from the Blacksmith with silver.
If a PEN or TET item is costly on the CM and tossing in some Cron Stones to do it yourself for less, say less is a handful of attempts, it is worth the RNG attempt.
Even when I pay more for the attempt, IF the item is one of my High Tier Goals for my own use, then it is still worth it. I'm not selling it, so I really don't care what the end price was when I finally achieve it.
Some of us just cannot save 180 billion silver to buy it outright from the CM, so we keep on RNG'ing and hoping for those lucky bones. 😊

I've put in a bit over 2K hours in BDO and, except for my boss helm which is TET, all of my other boss gear and accessories are PEN. My current accessories are high tier, but not top. I am now working on my upper tier accessories, to get me into that 700+ GS.
Except on a few occasions, I usually only play for about an hour or two a day, and I have never bought any Pearl items to get me a higher gear score ever.

To the OP.
I do not PvP, I only PvE.
But, if I was a PvP player, I would aim for all PEN Boss Gear first, start adding Caphras to the Boss Gear, and use the quest line accessories.
Quest Line Accessories [grumpygreen.cricket]
Then grind and grind to buy off of the CM better Yellow TET Accessories.
Eventually either save silver from grinding to get PEN from the CM of the same accessories or chance the RNG to PEN what you have knowing they can drop to TRI.
C20 Caphras in Boss gear and eventually getting PEN top tier yellow accessories will get you that 700+ GS.
Then you'll want to move onto the Fallen God Gear and such to get an even higher GS.
It is all done in steps and does not happen overnight.
