Why is it so easy to get end game boss gear now?

I am a returning player and I remember it used to be awhile before you would have full tet or PEN boss gear. Now I guess you can just trade all your season gear in for a full set. Is it really that easy now? I know leveling is stupid fast now never would you ever be able to hit 60 in a day years ago. Just seems this game lost all challenge/rewards.

No, unless PA changed it for this Season, you get 1 piece of boss gear at the TET level.
PA did make it, a few Seasons ago, where one could change ALL of their PEN Tuvala Gear for TET Boss gear, but after that they went to their regular routine of 1 piece of TET boss gear per Season.

they realized that nobody wants to spend time hitting the requirements to even start grinding for endgame so they just bump you right to the end of midgame in a couple hundred hours

Good like an idiot I didn't play the season so I just started doing what I know and am saving up the silver to just buy a full set.

Boss gear is not endgame. After boss comes blackstar and after blackstar comes ancient gear (fallen god etc.).

Actually with PEN C20 Boss Gear and PEN Accessories plus Exalted Vell's Heart, one can still achieve a gear score of 314 / 316 / 403, which is pretty good for PvE / PvM.

I'm nearing the 13,000 hour mark. Was closing in on endgame only to lose 40 GS.

If one was to buy their gear at a average of 450 million silver an hour. It would take one a little over 1200 hours of sweat lord minmax grinding.

If you feel like getting to endgame (700 GS) is easy. You are either trolling, or blessed with RNG welfare gear.

I mean if these Devs want to compete for other highly popular MMOs players, they kind of have to.

Speaking of the popular MMOs, you'll hit gearcap in them in less then 200 hours. And you can start being competitive in their PvP in under 50 hours of gameplay in most cases.

The game definitely did lose a little bit of challenge, but it's better for the overall health of the game, with many people being stuck at tet boss gear for a very long time, many new things like artifacts, godr ayed weapons, guaranteed pens etc help with the mid-game progression progression to not be RNG based.

yup BDO's grind was always too much, it's still very heavy now BUT much less than it used to be. i'm insane levels of lazy when it comes to grinding and i have two tet blackstars now and a couple tris in the vault working towards tet, at just under 800 hours when i stopped playing last year. seems like it's even easier to progress now that i'm playing again

Easy? You still need enchant this boss tet to pen. Even with a guaranteed Jetina system it costs you in total almost as much as the price of a pen in the market.
And you still need to have a lot of caphrases to make cr10 for enchant in fallen god (all caphares and dust I earned over 3 years was enough for cr10 for 4 pieces of armor).
And what's next? Boss pen gear today means nothing.
Boss pen or black star tet weapons it's a soft cap now.
New Mediah zones require 320 ap / 410 dp (unrealistic values to be achieved by 99% of players bdo).
What will you do when you hit a wall where one item costs 70-150b? Even if you had no life, e.g. retired, end game gear currently costs 2500-3000b in total.
Agris is enough for an hour a day. So even if you were able to earn 1b a day, it would still take you 7 years. Where's pen manos? Next 7 years.

Nvm him, he's salty and only trying to spark conflict on the forum.

It's not that hard to get up to 300 AP. What matters is that you play at your own pace and spend your silver wisely in the early stages of gearing up, so you can grind more efficiently.
I consider myself casual and I have endgame gear without going the p2w route.

The only thing I'm probably going to have to enchant are the life skill armors because I can't find any in stock for gathering.
